>Finish season 1 Wakfu
>Start season 2
dragon pig waht the fak?
It gets better, right?
season two had kinda a weird progression. I love the wakfu series but a lot found season two to be less enjoyable. I probably liked season 2 more than one personally. It picks up a lot more at the end and some key episodes in between. i felt its start and finish was strongest though. middle was a little weird.
I personally liked Season 2 more that 1, but after the "Save the World!!!" kind of conflict, people tend to forget that not every battle has to be a fateful epic one for the fate of the universe, and the main theme of Wakfu and Dofus is "Adventure" I say, just enjoy the ride, if you keep expecting for things to happen you'll only end up dissapointed pointlessly because the material is actually quite good.
Yeah, I guess 5 just kind of caught me off guard, especially since I was coming off of Nox and the first few episodes of S2. I just really disliked the humor going on.
I kind of liked the transformation thing, those are always fun, but pigs, really?
>go to Florida to see family (no internet there)
>download both seasons to see what the hype is about
>marathon entire first season in a day
>download was shit and too choppy to watch
>I have to wait 3 weeks to redownload
How can you not love a guy with a face like this?
>mistake character development episodes for filler.
My only complaint was that ep 5 was barely taking itself seriously, and wasn't even really that funny either. I loved Grovy's character development, but the episode just fell flat for me. Plus, they were doing that whole "post-victory in-fighting" thing at the start of the season.
When his face could've looked like these
The last 4 episodes are amazing
[spolier] Crazy Tits [/spolier]
[spolier] Dat Iop Fight against Rushu [/spolier]
[spolier] What's under Yugo's hat[/spolier]
It was definitely one of the best season finales I've ever seen, it could even be the end of the series for good And I wouldn't even be mad
Enjoyable but still kind of a clusterfuck.
In fact, finale (along with bellaphone island) summarizes what was wrong about season 2 imho. France3 put some restrictions on season 2 and Ankama, instead of accommodating to this or make the script more focused, just decided to cram as much junk in and hope it works.
After reading the plot summary of the OVA (first episode), it kind of feels like the same thing but it's going about it a different/better way.
The main issues of Season 2 are:
The season's villains don't overshadow the narrative the way Nox did. In fact, they're not really established as a threat until the season is 2/3 of the way over.
There's a bunch of stupid domestic drama at the end of the season that didn't really need to be there (and if you read the manga, it rears it ugly head again).
Some of the fight scenes aren't quite as ambitious from a technical perspective.
You're absolutely wrong.
The shit with the villain and Yugo in the final few episodes was insanely impactful. There were moments I was genuinely staring at the text in front of my eyes.
That's not what I was saying. My point was that one of the villains isn't identified as a villain until Episode 20 and the other one wasn't in a position to do anything until the last few episodes. By contrast, you knew that Nox was a villain from the beginning, and he made his presence felt throughout the entire season.
I'd say the first half of season 1 is more indicative of Wakfu's overall quality. The second half of season 1 is the aberration. Almost all of season 2 is similar. I'm not sure what happened to the writing, but no, it doesn't really get as good as Nox. They try, but it comes way, way too late, as they spend too much fucking time bullshitting around with miniarcs, one-off stories and introducing throwaway villains no one cares about. The core story only makes up about 15% of the whole season, and isn't especially impressive in comparison to the first season. It's fine, though.
The thing most like s1's second half is Dofus, which is genuinely touching and emotional at times, especially in the later part of the series, after you've gotten to know everyone intimately.
Wakfu does fap bait far better, though.
OP here. I'm on ep 14 now. I don't think it's quite as good as S1, but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. Guess I just hit a bad episode before (to be fair, it wasn't even that bad, but much sillier than any other episode).
>ep 11 male Amalia and Eva
>Two waifus with husbando mode included
I was not prepared.
Skip the Brakmar arc if you must continue.
The villains are pretty terrible. Remington shows up at points for no real reason at all, the party gets bloated with useless side characters, none of the characters get any stronger until the last minute, and the finale's just a set- up for a bad Dragon Ball reference
I'd say it's quite the opposite, the first half of season 2 contains much more plot relevance than S1, which carried its plot relevant episodes a bit later, though naturally it had a couple at the start because you know, it had to.
All in all I liked S2 a bit more, though it has both the best, and the worst episodes.
This, I liked it, a bit of a change in mood, but a fair episode. But the cursed fountain, oh what an episode.
This guy has a point though, the finale borders on powercreep/powerelevel crap a tad too much and cheesy over the top moments occur.here and there.
It had its moments, but I did not like the general tone of it, and I hope they avoid such an approach in the future.
The problem is, he doesn't stay looking like that.
Yeah. That was a terrible story decision. Especially when Nox's arc and arguably the first season was how you should let go of the past and make peace with it. The fact that Eva was rewarded for not moving on from Grovy's death spat in the face of that.
Was there ever an explanation of why King Qilby
looked like a shark-rabbit man?
So I had this dream that the dubs were out and I was watching it. I can't remember much, but it was the episode with the musicians- and Ruel had this Eastern European/Slavic accent. I wanna say Armenian or maybe Romanian. Funny enough, it worked really well.
Cube crunk, I guess.
Why would he owe any?
>Not liking the most bro guy of the party
What annoyed me even me about him taking up too much screen time was that Eva pretty much existed just to talk about or talk to him in s2. I liked him in s1 but now I'm just sick of him.
I swear to God if that's the case...
Color me surprised that it was the jungle princess whose character arcs didn't have much to do with romantic entanglements (despite her best efforts).
I hope it will be the case
>(despite her best efforts).
It's been a while since I watched the show so I could be wrong, but wasn't the extent of her "efforts" just looking at that demon killer and blushing a few times in that one episode?
Well I have to say I think it's somewhat understandable since you know, his grand departure made him somewhat of a focal point.
Granted this only really plays into the early part of S2. For the rest, it was sort of ham fisted.
She did also have a crush on the masked boufballer as well. Interesting enough i don't feel like she has much respect for people who are in a relationship.
Honestly, i don't feel like she had much of a real arc in season 2.
I think I share that sentiment. In S1 he was kind of a cliché goofy character, but he held that role pretty well and still had knightly moments to redeem him. In S2 he's kind of over the top and of course all the relationship drama was just painful to watch.
>But he looks like a goat.
Now that you mention it...
>Honestly, i don't feel like she had much of a real arc in season 2.
It was mostly about being a leader. Like how she led the evacuation of the freed villagers in Rubilaxia and all but taking charge of the Foggernauts in order to close the ShuShu portal.
Paradoxically, she also tended to get her mitts dirtier this season such as when she tried to tackle the Voice Thief or when she prevented Marilyn from scoring the winning goal against her team at the cost of much bodily harm.
That involved reconciling with her family and "outgrowing" Eva to an extent; as a bodyguard at least.
S2 has something that S1 could never match
or Season 2 Design?
Personally I liked s1 Best but s2's grew on me
Season 2 hair is shit.
Season 2 bodysuit is tight as fuck.
There is only one right answer.
>no General Bitch McCrazytits
I swear to fucking god if Jessica Bell ruins my waifu I'm gonna honk a bitch.
Generally I'd say S2's hair looks much better in motion, but I prefer the tofu-tail standing still.
As for suits, it's all over the place, S1 had better boots, S2 had better gloves, but I think I'd have to say S1 because I slightly prefer the dress over the suit.
> Not her muscular arms
You're a sick freak anon!
Man that was not a nice episode, all in all I think the episodes post ecaflip city had lower quality, though there were still some sweet and cute episodes.
Eva is strongest there is!
I was hugely disappointed with the lack of brain cats, as well as the secrets of the universe not being there.
At least there's still the mystery of what's under Joris's hood.
A bit of a stretch, I believe Yugo is still in possession of his own penis my jew gold is on a black hole or black jelly/crystalized candy.
> Portals, man. His dick could be ANYWHERE!
Oh god, I'm not safe anywhere.
> Dofus movie now has solid release date
> Third of february, 20-fucking-16
Jesus christ, I realize the french section taking over the dofus series makes for delays but that's what you get for announcing things during creation/planning.
>One and a half years before we see best girl again.
Assuming she's even in it.
> 3 years later than originally announced?
> Nah, they'll probably delay it again next year.
Who knows, all sorts of disasters are possible.
> Lack of proper baguettes in company restaurants leads to strike at the local media entertainment company Ankama, several unions have called sympathy strikes as they deem denying employees access to decent baguettes inhumane and cruel
Seems reasonable to me
The series delaying the movie, the japanese studio was originally intended to produce dofus, but that cooperation didn't work.
My condolences anon, what are you planing to die from if I might ask?
Well not that I can see no, beyond some stuff in the kickstarter like a new episode that is. Probably the usual "holy crap what the fuck are we doing, we have no idea and things are taking longer than we intended" delays.
Who knows, maybe their planning, administration and organization is a total clusterfuck.
> There's still a guy in a corner working on Slade, not knowing it was canned
Well it's all beyond me anyways, I haven't got the slightest hint of a clue to their organizations inner workings.
But yeah, Dofus 2016 it seems, for France.
> I'm kind of afraid it was just a fluke at this point.
Don't say such things anon, how can I sleep when worrying about that?
>but the directors are going full retard by not using their fully painted layout concepts in the final film.
Interesting, now pretend you're talking to a dumbass who's totally ignorant on this.
Not that I've been there either, but they remind me of a company I worked for for a while. The boss would come see me, tell me to drop what I was doing for now and give priority to some other assignment. Then a few days or weeks later he'd come with another assignment, tell me the same thing about that one. And when I asked about the other priority, "Oh I don't think we need that anytime soon."
Unsuprisingly they're now down to two employees, from a dozen back then.
Naw, it's going to be more like Ogrest's chaos based on what I saw, especially animation-wise.
I just don't get why Ankama got their artists to do fully realized layouts that weren't even going to make it into the final film from the start. it's completely counter-intuitive
I don't know man, I think there were some really brilliant episodes in S2, and some bad ones (I'm looking at you silence of the rings and wabbit island).
In all honesty, wabbit island seemed more like a reason to have a mini-wakfu episode or something, and a mini wakfu in that vein could work absolutely fine but it just doesn't suit the main series very well.
The OVA has some shipping moments with
Yugo. but it still doesn't overshadow the story. I think she'd be the kind of wife who sleeps around, anyway. Ankama loves to make infidelity jokes. Guess it must be French culture.
Well as for them shifting priority to the dofus series I believe it might have something to do with there possibly being a contract for it and there being another party in the mix that expected it to be done. And with the japanese/french cooperation simply not working out, that might be what prompted a neccesary swich.
Mind you this is of course only speculation with a hint of qualified guesswork. Their management and organization could still be in shambles for all I know.
> Ok guys I'm gonna steer this shit straight from now on!
> Gets stabbed in the back with a pencil by an artist
> I AM NOW THE NEW MANAGER
> civil war ensues
I'm not trying to make a point, I'm trying to understand what you mean, and apparently I'm not the only one. I don't see what's wrong with that poster or the screenshot they posted in the announcement.
Part of me wonders if Ankama knows what made season 1 so good. Or maybe they do and they're trying too hard to copy it's success.
Like some plot points and characters in the OVA reminded of stuff they already did in s1, s2, and even the franga.
I'm not trying to imply anything other than that I think you're reading into what I'm saying a bit too much.
I think the film looks great at the moment, I just don't get why they can't use layouts they've already finished and speed up the production of it.
Only major problem I had with S2 was the over the top anime-tier stuff that occured, granted not foreshadowing the villain as much (rushu doesn't imo really counts, he was introduced not foreshadowed) as well as a few other tidbits were negative but overall I think they got the moderate adventurous feeling down, and then things got out of hand on occasion, which I just don't like at all.
Actual spoilers if you haven't finished season 2 but this is too adorable.
Joris is so cute goddamn. That Ouginak is cute as fuck too.
She's a Sadida; they all go commando. They would go full-blown au naturel if the other races didn't give them funny looks for it.
Only a Iop can supply you with battle-ready hips
There are some things I like a lot better about season 2- like Sadlygrove.
In season one, he was a one note joke. Incompetent, over-confident, stupid, and aggressive. Only time he showed any prowess was under Goultard and in the finale- where he ended up getting killed by the Chaos Dreadnought. In season two, he FELT like a Knight. He was still brash and impetuous, but he had martial skills to back it up. Plus, he actually had to slow down and think things through on occasion. He felt like a functional party member instead of an albatross.
Anyone have a good place to get Dofus?
The BrotherhoofTofuV seems to be mostly dead links now...
>Only a Iop can supply you with battle-ready hips
An Iop can be the top, but a panda is grand'a.
>friend wants to cosplay a gijinka version of Kerub
>wants to throw it together in about 3 weeks
>mfw I try to imagine the cosplay
what would gijinka kerub look like?
I think he's one of those characters that shouldn't be cosplayed..
Jojo could be ok if its a kid cosplaying it though
Would be hard for him to do that after Nora exploded his face off
along with all life on the planet.
I don't know. Given the situation, I wouldn't be surprised if all remaining Mechasms threw themselves at the Eliatropes, but then again as far as I remember (from just playthrough videos) most of the enemies in the game are a different race subdued by Orgonax and not actually Mechasms. So there may well be more of them.
Orgonax was the only one that cared enough to chase the Eliatropes because Qilby literally stole his heart.
Actually, the Lu-Fus were victims of the Eliatropes' planet draining schemes and joined up with Orgonax to get some payback. Their captain, Odo, is just in it for the Wakfu though.
Yeah but let's be honest, they got the short and shitty end of the stick in that deal. They're still Wakfu-depraved and getting killed on the front lines. Orgonax and Odo don't seem to me like they give a fuck about their fate.
I think it's a little unfair to blame the character of Grovy and/or his fans when i think it's Ankama's writing that is to blame. For instance, i think Ankama just could not figure out what to do with the other characters.
You can also blame Ankama for making Adamai an ugly and annoying character. That doesn't make him less ugly or annoying.
Of course it's not Grovy's fault. He's a fictional character. He didn't do anything.
is there a screenshot of this? I need it for...reasons
This is the bad thing about Wakfu series. They basically have maybe 4-5 episodes per season where they bring their writing chops out for a tour de force. Otherwise it reverts to silly episodic things that just don't hold a candle.
Its fine if the silly episodes are infrequent but they happen, and after end of season 1, you really have to hold them to a higher standard in season 2.
So is this girl the only passable Eva's cosplay ?
I want more. I want
Lily-Rose Depp as Eva
Eh, I feel it's the easy way out to just go "derp executive meddling, france 3 demanded" etc. yes it has an influence but ankama should be accountable for what they do with that.
And sometimes it just doesn't turn out great, sometimes it does, heck some of my favourite episodes are what people say are fillers. But I'd like to think they have somewhat of an idea what they're doing and are capable of bringing out good writing and animation to go along with it, and I think that shows in the show. And Adrián their comic guy seems to be able to put out some real quality as well, and did a wonderful job with Tangomango imo.
But to write of the times that it doesn't, as someone else's fault, is a cheap and not fair.
> only passable
No, but Clef is the best Eva I've seen that's for sure.
Loved her Alice cosplay, well suited as well since she's so short.
Some sort of robot dog/bike from another show, but I don't think it's supposed to be pink, at least another anon implied that.
And on the subject of other Eva cosplayers, there's this. Now I think Grovy is fantastic here, since he managed to make something that resembles the cartoon hair without it looking stupid, and actually making it look believable.
But I DO like Ruel. What are you going on about?
They can't even bro it up with their god
> implying she won't become the greatest boufbowler to live instead
Not to mention the most graceful and stunning one.
>implying Ruel isn't the ultimate Enutrof for not paying even in a time of life or death
Ruel knows how it really works
so bro even his pet is a bro
GODDAMIT I'M TIRED OF THESE FUCKING ENUTROFS TRYING TO STEAL OUR SADIDA GOLD!
It can't be any worse than the Xelor logging operation
I dunno. I found him more annoying in S2 in places. Mostly because receiving the lesson that maybe he should think things every now and then and then proceeding to double down on retardation instead got on my nerves.
Everyone is out to get the Sadida.
Even me All those delicious sadidettes
nigga you just fucked up...
Dofus if you haven't watched that I suppose.
Comics can be read if that's your thing.
And Dofus can be found here if you were wondering. Mind you, you need to switch from the polish audio to the french audio and switch to the subs.
Already seen S1 and S2, plus I went through Dofus already.
A nice subbed version of the Ogrest ep would be nice, but not really finding it.
Will have to wait for a more solid download/torrent.
so... what do you think about this ?
So, how's the teen pregnancy rate in France? If they put so much sexiness in their kids shows, then surely it's a Teen Mom baby makin' bonanza set against a horrifying child support ridden ecenomic wasteland, right?
If so, we have a new friend in the world!
Not a recent graph but certainly not as old
It's more of a weird issue with Europe than it is America, as the rest of the world is more or less in the same general rate.
Whether that's cultural or statistical, who knows.
Really, looks specifically like Germany, Sweden, France and that general area are the outliers. And those earlier graphs were cherry picking the lowest rate countries in Europe. Most of the rest of them are either in 20-40 range. Or worse.
The first one is unclear, it was on France 3's site for the series, but obviously none of it other than Joris is actually taken from the series so it's curious.
The second one is an official poster for the 2016 movie.
>Greenland is >50
Jesus, is there really nothing else to do there but fuck? Dont they have books or something?
What a view.
Heck if I know, you'd have to explain what you're talking about to begin with.
needs more jpg
Oh shit, what are you doing.
The text behind the arrow just says "Maison close ouverte touze" in brâkmarian. Which means "brothel open, orgy".
And I'm not kidding.
Don't look at me like that...
I really hope they include Maskemane in the OVA in a way that isn't hamfisted. Like i'm somewhat glad they didn't shove him into season 2 because there was enough stuff going on.
Yeah, at first I was disappointed they didn't have him in the season as they'd announced, but when I saw what they did with Remington I was actually relieved Maskemane didn't get that treatment.
I'm not sure I want him in the OVAs now...
Do we have someone speaking french here?
I kind of translated what ankama had written in Evas book but I don't speak french that well to translate it
>what is google translate
here ya go anyway ...
One idiot you are missing and everything is depopulated.
The Amalia affection is not enough to fill the void.
The're not ready.
Today boufball is at stake
but nobody is there to score.
You went too fast,
ti ... ***
Oh shit, nice job. I thought these pages had only gibberish. Here goes.
You're missing a single idiot and everything is barren.
Amalia's love is not enough to fill the void.
(I wasn't?) ready.
Today the boufball is in play,
But there is no one to score.
You left too soon...
I think you got a few characters wrong, at least on line 3, but that should be the gist of it.
there is another bookpage that basically is just the prologue of the first ep from the second season
Good. It all matches. Anyone with a nice brush stroke around? If you could provide a clean copy of those individual characters on a white background, I'd like to add this alphabet my decoder.
I'll give it a try. Something like 500x500 for each letter would be okay ?
Woops, seems that you're faster than me !
Perfect, thank you!
I'm using roughly 35x35 for the other fonts, so this here will be just fine. But thanks anyway!
I wonder what script this actually is, though. It's not the same as the rest of the text seen in the Sadida kingdom.
That would be my first guess too. I'll probably identify it as such for the time being.
In a sense, that makes it that much more impressive that Grovy was able to read it.
There's one for the Sadida Kingdom, one for Brâkmar, one for Mork (also used in Kerub's books), and the one we just talked about.
I have the Brâkmarian alphabet written somewhere on a post-it.
Nah, Sadida. When Ruel is stuck in jail in the Sadida Kingdom, there's written something like "if you read this you're dumb" with those letters.
What do you make of the screenshots I posted a few minutes ago, then? They don't look like anything else in the series. A few of them look close to old Greek letters IIRC.
Well... if I'm correct, the last screenshots you posted were written in Sadida, just like this one.
Wait I think we got confused. We were talking about Eva's book being (possibly) a Cra script. Everything does point to the other screenshots being Sadida.
Sometimes I wonder just how much time goes into just all of these little things
Oh by the way, if someone wants to make a clean copy of those Sadida symbols too, that would help me run some tests and try to crack them. I think I tried once but didn't get anywhere.
Oh ? My bad then, sorry for the misunderstanding.
And I was wrong, >>62662213 message is "Merde à celui qui le lit" (basically the same translation), and >>62661854
is "Voici un putain de Grouilleux", "This is a fucking Grouilleux".
What are those things English name, again ?
>mfw it's revealed that a load of these are french swears
>"Merde à celui qui le lit" (basically the same translation)
Actually "merde" in this case would mean "good luck."
>What are those things English name, again ?
Grambo, I believe.
It's often written in public toilets, or school toilets, so I thought it was an insult ? Like litteraly, "a turd on whoever read this".
It's the same text as >>62661854, unfortunately...
I don't have a good memory, but I think it's usually added to private messages written here and there, just to say "Hey, fuck you, you're not supposed to be reading this".
Cracked the script but lost it.
But I remember some parts of it, so I can do it again if you want (Brâkmar, Sadida and Mork/Amakna).
I got the others, and it shouldn't take long to get this one based off that segment. I'll keep you posted but in the meantime if someone wants to make clean symbols for it, they'll be useful.
These two say
>CHAMPS DE BATAILLE
And I just noticed you already had the Grambo one. Derp. Well at least I've got all the letters matched up.
So this is what we have so far.
was just skimming the images with an addon, this came up
about a week ago
Got that video game tattoo yet, /v/?
The crusades took way more out of the progress of humanity than any religion ever benefited.
The fall of Rome and the preceding dark ages set humanity's technological advances back at least 1000 years.
Technological advances spurred by religions were good, but a true scientific revolution didn't take place until the mid 17th century, where we figured out a lot more shit than the previous 5000 years combined.
Religion only helped the old world after it destroyed it, and you're mistaking the Technology learned under religion for the Technology only resurfaced after it was done choking it to death. Literally everyone agrees that without the destruction wrought by Christianity during the Medieval and Dark Ages, the world would be 1000 years more advanced. The things learned by religion in the following thousand would essentially amount to nothing.
Jesus Christ you are such a fucking pretentious faggot. How do you even continue to exist.
Want proof that evolution is shit? Your slut of a mother produced an autist of a son who argues science on an anime board. Goddamn.
>Man that was a good thread
Slowpoke response, but having Maskemane in the OVA might even out the wakfu to dofus character ratio. I mean, the ova feels like it should be called the dofus special featuring wakfu characters.
Okay, who is this Count Harebourg person I heard about during some rumors about the OVA?
Is he from Treasures of Kerub or something? Google tells me he's a boss in the MMO, but I'm not quite sure beyond that.
He is a boss in the MMO and he also plays a role within the lore of the world of twelve.
What you should know about him is:
He's a Xelor
He's the Lord of Frigost (A frozen land)
The bad news: Not since they took down corgi.
The good news: You aren't missing much. They have the length, plot and character development of a kids cereal advertisement. And I don't think the creators would disagree - they are just tiny bumps to play as ads.
The comics are worth checking out.
I had a feeling that was the case.
True, but it would be nice to watch them. At least they'll be on the blu-ray, and that's not too far off now (unless it gets delayed again).
I've been meaning to look into the comics as well.
Well I have a mega link here for mini wakfu if that helps
Risking the lives of tons of people, animals and fauna for the chance of getting your family back is pretty sick and wrong, not to mention very selfish.
The comics are well worth looking into, shame they aren't available to purchase in english. I believe some anon said most if not all were available in spanish though.
I don't understand
Speaking of Wakfu, does /co/ play the game? I played it with a group of friends during the beta and had some fun with it, but shit seemed pretty grindy, and wasn't very fun to solo.
Might give it another shot if there's a /co/ guild or somethin' though.
>people tend to forget that not every battle has to be a fateful epic one for the fate of the universe
I for one wouldn't mind if they went for a smaller scale at all, a village, a town, something smaller but closer to someones person also works.
I might try and get back to editing the wiki more regularly soon. Does anyone have any particular topics they'd like me to cover?
If you don't know or would like to contribute some articles yourselves, you can always take a look at the Wanted page:
I wasn't aware there was much we hadn't covered, I gently browse through it now and then to pick up some tidbits.
How about the part where you single handedly defeated the Nazis grandpa? Can you cover that?
Is there perhaps more to the mechasm that we do not know already on the wiki? I understand les guardians deal with that but I haven't played it, nor do I have the ability to play it.
You trying to get me hooked on Maude anon? Not buying your stuff, the Elaine you sold me last year nearly ruined me.
Funny enough, she was a big hit in the Summer threads of '11. Then Mofette appeared...
There really isn't much I know myself, I believe the only part of their history we know is when it mixes with that of the Eliatropes. I don't think Les Gardiens had the time to get into that part of their history, and I don't have access to Islands of Wakfu other than playthroughs so I'm probably not the best qualified person to add more.
That reminds me there was someone who had played LG that said they would post more about the Eliatropes on the wiki but then I never heard from them again. I only tried the second game for a few days and now they're both offline I believe, so I'm missing a lot of info.
They're almost diametrically opposed in terms of personality.
>you will never wrestle with Cleophee
Ooooh, that was me. Didn't play the game, just got info from French fansites and did a little Google Translate. I need to step up my game...
Yeah I reckon they don't have much of an individual history. But I can't help to wonder if they said how the war was started, and there was apparently something about Orgonax having his heart stolen by Quilby.
I thought I'd written about that in the Eliatrope article, but apparently no, I just brushed the subject on the Timeline.
The tl;dr version is that the Mechasms moved to the Eliatropes' original planets and they coexisted peacefully for a while. Then
Qilby stole Orgonax's heart, who I believe was the youngest Mechasm at the time (if that changes anything), to make the first Eliacube. The Mechasms found out, although the rest of the Eliatropes didn't know what had happened, and launched the war on them.
Oh I see. Yeah I've seen the wikis for the two LG games, but it would be quite a project on its own to go through them and rewrite the info on ours.
Well now I know I guess.
Thanks a bunch.
What's funny is that there's little tidbits beyond the in-game notes, like some stuff on the different hats you can craft and even some lore on Mr [copyright infringement] in Dofus (the hail set). I just wish Ankama were a little better with keeping different stories and lore going instead of dropping things halfway. I mean, what happened to all those sub-factions in Wakfu, the Daughters of Dathura, the followers of Ogrest, etc. It sounded cool and then just vanished and they introduce new stuff instead.
Yeah, it's pretty harsh to get our hopes up then demolished every time.
What would be really awesome is if they'd release their encyclopedia they use for developers and staff, or at least the parts of it that have been revealed in one medium or another, but I doubt that will ever happen.
I still have some Maude images left.
Yeah they need to sit down and sort these things out and give them a bit more followthrough, show that there's something more to it all and that all those things aren't forgotten.
I admit, the name doesn't dazzle me.
Yeah, at least the previous two didn't sound alike.
Oh, found something in the franga I overlooked, Maude going commando!
Haven't seen anything about her since Islands of Wakfu. I doubt she's completely dead, but I suppose it could take as long for her to respawn as Yugo for the same reasons.
But there's the chance that whatever you want to call what she did annihilated her in the process.
If it was in color, it would take even more time to come out and it's already a yearly release.
As for the franga, i would say read it if you don't have anything to do. It's not a terrible read and there are some cool moments, but i say it's generally lackluster. Then again, it's still pretty early in the story. I'm sort of hoping things turn over in tome 3.
I don't know how well that's going to work with characters like Harebourg showing up. While i guess the ova can take the time to explain his backstory and motivation, it feels like you should have played dofus to understand him.
