I'm down with Taishirou. I always got the impression (from trolling fanart sites) that Taito was the main pairing w/ Western fans & Taishirou was 'big in Japan.' Always saw a lot of Jyou/Yamato on Japanese sites too, which I thought was a bizarre pairing.

I literally gasped when they showed the flashback of them holding hands during Adventure. It's really frustrating b/c I feel like they're hyping up to create some canon het couples (not that the 02 ending didn't do this already) while simultaneously doing sooo much Taitobaiting.

really? i used to troll japanese digimon fanart sites during the show's original run and while taito was popular, i saw an awful lot of tai/kou + yama/takeru as well... two pairings that were def. less popular in the west. can't really say much about het though, avoided all those pairings like the plague...

I had a freudian slip back in highschool and refered to the digimon characters "taichi and yamato as "taito and yamachi." He just stared at me and i quickly corrected myself, although he then said "those are yaoi pairings" (out of the blue, I might add).
