Growing up, my mother and nonna always made an oil pasta dish with pork belly and broccoli. When I started making it myself, I added sundried tomatoes. This is my favorite meal but for the life of me I don't know what it's called or the origin of the dish.
>cup or so of olive oil in a pan over medium heat
>cubes of pork belly or small strips (maybe 3cm long by 1cm wide) in the pan, cook until almost done
>minced garlic in the pan
>set aside while bringing water to boil
>penne in, cook until 80% done, add in tiny florets of broccoli to cook for the remainder of the time
>combine
It's very cheap and easy to make, but what is it called?
