No you're tasting the heat not the meat

I like the way you think.

Yes, keep the temp under 250F, keep a water pan in the grill for moisture, and, if possible, use something like aluminum foil to try to block the direct radiant heat from the coals. The Snake Method works great desu.

Put ribs in a cardboard box.

Just googled it... nothing to do with snake at all.. it's just a poor fag smoker.
I have a smoker but it doesn't work with snake.. dries out and becomes inedible..

Snake is a video game character that lives in a cardboard box. He's from Snake Pass
>>9429354
yes
>>9430217
Wrong. He's probably talking about this kind of maze like contraption where you fill it with sawdust or pellets and and it slowly burns through the maze. It's really designed for cold smoking but I suppose could be used for hot smoking although a tinfoil packet with soaked woodchips works better for grill hot smoking imho.
Will ribs turn out good if i cook them in the oven then throw them on a hot grill and baste bbq sauce? i don tthink i have the patience or expertise to smoke them
