is paring knife the worst of all knives? or which one would that be?

I use my pairing knife the most tbbh since I'm usually only cooking for two, but my waifu doesn't eat much.

Definitely not the worst. It's just highly situational. I can't see people using it outside a professional kitchen.

Paring is good if you just want to slice up an orange in the morning without getting out the cutting board or cleaning off a full knife. I'd say peeling fruit/vegetables as well but I usually leave them on.

Outside of your choice of chef's knife most knives have a specific purpose.
