Is it okay to use the oil in this to make popcorn? It's soybean oil, apparently.
Also, general popcorn thread.

if you're making popcorn on a stove, make sure to use mostly olive oil--id say 4tsps + 1tsp of this per cup. grandma chili oil is better drizzled on after the kernels are popped, it will smoke and burn if you try to pop the popcorn w just this

Bump,
When I make popcorn at home, I go for that movie theatre taste but try to avoid that movie theatre price. Pic related plus jollytime kernals, with a decent amount of salt (sprinkled on) tastes just like the real thing but I have trouble getting the amount of salt right, every time since I just sprinkle it on without measuring. Is there a general rule of thumb for amount of salt/table spoon of popcorn I should be using if I want to replicate the movie theatre taste?
