What's your favorite instrument in your kitchen?
Got one of these bad boys last christmas and it has made a typically unfulfilling part of my day that much better. You put in some water, put in some beans, push the button and you have a great cup of coffee 5 minutes later. Finish you coffee, take 5 minutes to clean it and dry it, and it's ready for the next time you want a cup of joe.

My knife. If that doesn't count then probably my zester/microplanar or my standing mixer.

I bought a garlic press and it doesn't work well. Can you recommend me one on amazon that works well?

I have one and I'm happy with it.
The majority of people will never sharpen their knives.
Of those that do choose to hand sharpen the vast majority of those will never be better than a good machine sharpener.

>10 mins for a cup of coffee
Stupid. I boil water in a kettle, rinse out my press, dump in grinds, pour in water, let sit for three to five minutes, press, pour, done.
