In Peru there are many ways to cook it, allow me to enlighten you:

>wash the quinoa extremely well, like 4 times otherwise it will taste like shit because it has a weird thin film of some shit substance
>semi-fry (is there a word for this?) garlic, onions, pepper
>pour equal ammounts (sometimes it changes) of water and quinoa into pot
>when done add salt

You can add cheese or tomato if you want, pretty good. The cheese should be fresh cheese, the white one.

>boil quinoa with sugar, cinnamon and clover
>add milk or water if you are poor like most peruvians

It's pretty good. If you are usng black quinoa then you should boil it for much longer.
