My favorite rolls are those which contain a whole deep-fried softshell crab. The spicy tuna ones are good too.

>it is illegal to eat variations on a traditional food item
You seem well adjusted and socially vibrant.
Unagi nigiri, preferably without the sugar sauce they always manage to put on there at the more budget places. Anything with eel is good.

I just got some for the first time this past weekend.
The tofu was really good, and I got one of their vegan sauces on it, along with the furi flakes or whatever.

spicy tuna and caterpillar rolls are my preferred.

I like a good dynamite roll (tempura shrimp), and there's nothing wrong with your basic salmon avocado. Plain salmon, tuna or yellowfin on rice balls is good too.

>burgers are too much for me, can i just have a ketchup and american cheese sandwich
rolls aren't bad because they're nontraditional, they're perfectly traditional. rolls are bad because they exist to hide bad ingredients and/or let scared flyovers be pretentious while still avoiding seafood.
they're the mcdonald's of the form compared to a good steak.
