The fungi is Chicken-of-the-Woods (Laetiporus sulphureus) and is delicious.

what areas are they usually found in, any specific states or can they be found anywhere at the right season?
>>9386605
USA east and west. They grow on trees, sometimes dead ones and sometimes living ones. You may not see another flush on the same tree for years. They usually flush in rainy cooler weather of spring and fall here, but sometimes in the middle of a cool rainy summer. Google them up on how to locate and properly identify. They are pretty easy to identify since nothing else really looks like them.

It is, hands down, the best popcorn popper you will ever use.

.....I've been using a overly huge stock pot.

yes but if they started to brown dont pick them you will vomit and hallucinate

You'll just get sick since it is rotten if it is turning brown, just like all fungi when they are too old to eat. The only trips you'll have will be to the bathroom.
I like to make homemade fried rice, drunken noodle, asian style stir fry or pan fried noodles. My wok is 3 dollars from walmart desu
