>and/or a unicorn, whichever is easier to find
something rare, meaning they are having trouble finding reliable employees
in slightly different usage:
in the NBA Porzingis is a unicorn,
in silicon valley Uber is a unicorn

Says Victoria. I was there in 2010 during some war games, didn't seem absurdly expensive.

don't over analyze a poorly worded job listing

With what I hear about the restaurant industry I'm not surprised cooks that stay in one location are hard to find.

In the tech industry, a ``unicorn'' is basically the all-star champ MIT overgrad with a 6.0 GPA, published research, and patents.
Putting it optimistically, tech companies overwhelmingly attempt to hire these ``unicorns'', reflected in their job listings.
Putting it pessimistically, tech companies overwhelmingly place unrealistic competency requirements in order to meet federal mandates (being unable to find suitable new hires) before tossing the jobs to foreigners (H1B underpaid indentured servants that they can deport at will)
Silicon Valley shills will claim that they need to abuse cheapo H1B hires to stay competitive, but in reality they just lack morals and don't deserve to be in business.
Probably a similar situation here.

I'm assuming the mangers/owners are unbearable to work with
