Nah. I just Google recipes for stuff I haven't done before or haven't written down, use one from the couple of recipe books I own, work from memory, or sometimes even the recipes companies print on the back of bags of flour or other basic ingredients. I'm slowly building up a hand-written recipe book that's sort of a combination of exact copies of recipes I like and use a lot and also a few new ones I've created myself or modified from existing recipes. The first one I wrote down was my favorite way to make pot roast.

Not an app but the website supercook is pretty great. Put in the ingredients you have and it tells you what you can make.

When I feel like making something new, I download this app off my bookshelf and scroll through it and pick something that is of interest to me at the time and follow the recipe.
