I'm about to eat Cuban food. I rarely eat hispanic food. So I have little to no knowledge. I love Cuban sandwiches, however, last time I visited this place, I didn't like the sandwich, the pork was too dry. This is supposed to be a popular spot, and I want to give it the benefit of the doubt, that perhaps they do better with actual cuban dishes.
Im in the mood for something with beef. Nothing liquidy or saucy. Definitely want rice and fried or yellow plantains(if they have it)
I basically want something they definitely won't fuck up. Thanks ni/ck/as!

You must have been in some tourist place like Varadero. I didn't see any Cuban sandwiches there, it's a Florida regionalism named for Cuban immigrants, it's not a real Cuban thing
inb4 I'm banned for having informed opinions on the subject of food, bring it on you tendies eating manchildren, I'll just reset my modem

I won't reveal my area but im in a hispanic area on the east coast. There's some good places, obviously can't beat florida or NYC.
Hard to say if the place was touristy, it's a resturant and has touristy themes. But all of the cooks and waitstaff are latino.
My area kinda sucks. But I do know a spot that makes amazing cuban sandwiches.
