Just discovered a couple of crab apple trees in my backyard while mowing (I live in a rural area and dont go to that part of the lawn often) and I picked a bowlful of them.
I sorted them out and took off the stems.
What are some good recipes with crab apples?

did you get it from the titanic
Good for cider, otherwise not much. They are too acidic for most peoples tastes so they aren't usually eaten raw, and using them in baking is a hassle because of how small they are(and again how acidic they are.)
However, it might be worth planting other apple trees around that crabapple tree. Apple trees require pollination from other apple trees to produce fruit. Crabapple can pollinate a wide variety of other apple trees.

Crab apple jelly is great with strong cheese. Older generations in the UK used to eat it a lot, but it's no longer in fashion.

The Titanic sank in the mid 30's (killing most of the 5000 onboard according to Wikipedia), highly unlikely he had relatives on board that bothered to save a pan unless it's gold.
i remember eating one and getting a bit of a cranberry taste. bitter and astringent, but in a pleasant way.
i bet their juice would make a nice drink if you sweetened it with sugar.
