A beer that is 8%Abv will freeze at 28F and not 32F. Not that much of a difference.

I have left beers in the freezer and forgotten about them many times, and beer does in fact freeze and go slushy. The problem is, frozen beer is really disgusting.

The best "frozen" beer treat would be a float drink. Take a dark stout (I like to use oatmeal stout) or one of those alcoholic root beers, and plop in a scoop of ice cream. It works really well.
