Hotdog buns- steamed of toasted?

Damn it.
Steamed OR toasted?
Steamed THEN toasted.
Keeps bun moist and fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside.

Whichever, as long as there is ketchup on it.
Steamed

Boiled.
Look, there's no way you should be eating hotdogs unless you're in a party of like 10, at which point boiling them is just easiest

... just the bun man.
steamed for the record

Do know of any vendors or restaurants that actually do this? I've honestly considered it.

Okay, what grilled bratwurst or kielbasa dogs?
Toasted
Toasted then steamed

Lads I don't mind telling you I've been consuming a lot of weenie meat lately, and the place I go to steams poppy seed buns. Which is cool when you keep it basic ie mustard, onions. However, if you get something sloppy like chili, or even something loaded with condiments, the toasted bun would be helpful for the weenie's structural integrity.
