Ever felt like you are stuck at the same level of cooking?
When I started cooking it felt like I could taste my dishes getting better from day to day but nowadays I feel like I've been stuck cooking at the same level for years now.
Am I doing something wrong?
You have to try cooking different cuisines to learn different spices and techniques.

Get better at presentation. You eat more with your eyes than with your mouth
You get to the point of diminishing returns at some point.
Critique and analyze your dishes more.
I don't know if my cooking is good because I live alone and I'm the only one who ever tastes my food.

does your face do this when you eat?

Kinda. Sometimes I get all giddy and start dancing around the room while eating.
Only when I'm drunk, though.

how does it compare to chain restaurants?
I cook about as good as Applebee's for 1/5th of the cost.

>how does it compare to chain restaurants?
I feel like that's not a good meter either since homecooked food has to be good in different ways to be "good"
I like my own food better than most restaurants, but that's less of a proof of quality and more of a proof of "I can make it just how I like it"
You also have to take into consideration that the skill ceiling for most basic dishes is extremely low, so you're not going to find a big difference between your homecooked dinner and the 5star chef course you paid $200 for, if it's not a complicated recipe
