I made more apple pie filling than I needed. What should I do with it?
Turnovers?

Cobbler, crumble, brown betty, or just stew them for breakfast with some bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy.

Add it a few minutes to the end of cooking oatmeal. Then serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the center of the bowl. Best breakfast ever!

I used the crust recipe from here
http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2016/06/old-fashioned-flaky-pie-dough-recipe.html
to do the pie recipe here

It's currently cooling, and I won't be eating any until tomorrow.

Now I'm scared.
Put it in the fridge and tell yourself you'll do something with it later.
Come back in a week and find they're spoiled and then just toss them out.
You fucking know it's going to happen anyway.

Worst case scenario is soggy bottom but even with that it can taste great.
Pancakes!
Leave it near an ant nest.

Top shot looked suspect but thet's a damn fine cross-section, nice work.
>>9324885
Thanks. I think next time I will prebake the bottom just a little bit though. It wasn't soggy but it also wasn't as crispy as it could have been.
>>9323523
This sounds unholy delicious
>>9324874
wow, that looks good
>>9323463
Second this.
Makes so much sense that I don't even know why OP asked.
>>9324874
Now I want apple pie too.
>>9324874
I thought it would be wet as fuck but that is a damn good looking pie, minimal shrinkage and it's holding up without having a soggy bottom, would eat warm with some vanilla bean ice cream.
You should be proud anon, not many people can do apple pies that look that good.
Combine with marscapone/ricotta cheese. Roll into ball. Cover with Graham cracker mix (add some clove, brown sugar, and cinnamon). Fry them in oil. Eat them motherfuckers. What your not going to eat, freeze and fry later.

Looks thicker than I'm used to but not bad
Bumping for the cross section
