Is kingsford professional better than regular kingsford?

It's just compressed saw dust, how much better could it be?
Also; keep your charcoal in a bucket with a screw on lid.
It keeps the moisture out and is cleaner and easier to handle.
I don't grill, but if I did I'd get real charcoal. It's not hard to find.

But all of the buckets I have in my house are full of sand for when I need to shoot something.

Just use wood. It doesn't take much longer and is so much better

The competition is supposed to burn longer and/or hotter. It's formulated to better suit long smokes for bbq competitions. I've used it. It didn't really seem to be much different from the regular.

The professional stuff burns too hot, melted my chimney and warped my Weber.
use lump charcoal its like half the price and works way better

whenever i use lump charcoal the coals are usually quarter sized and one giant log. then its like a fireworks display

Yes. It is better, but it is better for longer cooks.
It lights more quickly than regular Kingsford and it burns more uniformly.
The more uniform burn is the real reason to use it for longer cooks.
If you are just grilling some steaks, chops, or burgers, you are better off using natural lump charcoal.
If your cook will last more than about an hour, then use briquettes.

I like to put damp wood chips over my coals

Just get a gas grill

Both are shit. Buy a real grill; a gas grill and some propane.
