Tonight I cook an amateur meal with /ck/
>>9315983
looks good but that sour cream frightens me :) go on...
I'm interested. But that steak looks pretty bad for HEB standards. Pic related are some select ribeyes I get from HEB in my area
(Mostly) chopped, steak being patted dry as I will be cast iron cooking it, got a pic of the label for inspection anon.
The sour cream was a mistake, i was going to bake a potato, but ended up boiling some red potatoes not yet seen

It's not very marbled but has a nice sized cap.
Zucchini simmering in the pan, potatoes boiling and now we saute some onions mushrooms and a bit of garlic
Is if a good idea to saute onions and mushrooms in the same pan at the same time? We will soon find out
>>9316064
Usually you want to saute the onions first, and then add the mushrooms.
>>9316080
How long on your average would you wait to add the mushroons?
>>9316064
onions first because they have a lot of water and hen add the mushrooms to soak up the flavor
And she's in
SSSSSSSSSSSSS
>>9316109
Let's not fuck this up ck
>>9316088
til they're just translucent
How is t ck? I like it a bit of crisp
>>9316120
well done that bitch
And do done! But what about the steak is it medium rare?
>>9316120
As long as it doesn't cook through too much, it's looking good so far
Ehhhh looks well, but I was going for medium rare, better luck next time
>>9316146
Mmmmmm just past medium rare it seems, but still tender, it's GUD
enjoy!
>>9316159
Thank you for comming on this magical journey with me anon
>>9316169
No problem. I like the idea of zucchini with this meal. Pic related is my last comparable classic- it's a ny strip instead of a ribeye, though..
