Actually discuss coffee this time edition

I'm kinda curious what blends/brands y'all use.
I discovered a place close to me that deals their own stuff, and I'm diggin' dark Sumatra blend. It puts lead in your pencil. If I drink more common stuff, chicory Cafe DuMonde, or whatever is darkest. If I'm forced to go to StarFucks, espresso only. Those people need to step up their
Folgers, classic roast, black

I'm assuming you don't mean straight espresso with Starbucks, theirs is undrinkable and this is coming from someone who makes it on a $500 machine with less than stellar technique

*step up their game
instant, 4 sugars, half and half. shaken not stirred
if the guy who said "cappycino" a couple of coffee threads ago comes back here again i want him to fuck me in the ass
/ck/'s opinion on subscription services like Pact?
I know I'm overpaying, but honestly the work it takes to source the interesting flavours is worth at least a little something.
What's the standard ratio (espresso:water) for an Americano? Was thinking of trying 1:3
>>9302304
1:4 rather, math hard
Moccona dark, no sugar reporting in.
Good ratio for charbucks in a press?

2 tbsp:6oz water for any coffee but throw the Starbucks out and buy something else

Not him. But, can I watch? I'll bring the coffees.

don't forget the creamer if you know what i mean bb

I may drink there once a year if I'm stuck with family, say holiday shopping and they're driving, and then I get a shot to satisfy (like a shot of cheap whiskey). It itches the scratch, but meh.
If I'm driving, taking the extra 5 minutes and getting that gourmet shit. I ain't drinkin' none of that "basic bitch" trash.

Report back the quality if you do. It sounds breddy gud.

The premium stuff I get is a local roaster.
They have a blend I'm fond of. It's just a basic medium coffee taste which I prefer. Not to bitter, not to light.
They have a lot more, but the place I get the beans from (the roaster doesn't have an actual storefront or cafe AFAIK) doesn't allow you to sample first, I think.
I don't want to dedicate even a half pound bag to a flavor I may end up hating.
If I have to settle for something cheaper, I usually go with Dunkin Donuts original blend.
If I have to go even cheaper, it's whatever has a coupon in the paper/magazine/etc.
So far the only brand of coffee I actually despise is my local chain grocery store's brand.
It's like they took mulch and ground it up and put it in a tin.

Reporting back, 1:4 is watery
I drink Death Wish, personally. No cream or sugar needed. Pretty good stuff.
No talkie until coffee!
