Sup cu/ck/s, I'm a skinnyfag looking to get big.
I'm making all my chicken tonight and I only have some basic spices at my disposal.
What's a good rub I can whip up to make 3 weeks worth of chicken breasts dressier?

Make different rubs and marinades.

Buy more spices.

chicken is a blank slate. You can flavor it however you might want to. Your question is about as silly as asking what kind of music you should listen to. The answer to both is: I dunno, what do YOU like?

Here are some ideas to get you started:
-Salt & pepper is delicious on its own
-Classic Western herbs: sage, rosemary, thyme.
-Asian flavor: ginger, garlic, red chili, sesame oil
-BBQ: Paprika, brown sugar, salt, onion powder
-Mexican/Southwest: Chili powder, cumin, Mexican oregano
-Italian: Basil, rosemary, thyme
-Indian: curry powder or garam masala

Of course you can buy different styles of spice mixes too: cajun seasoning, Montreal steak seasoning, etc....

Cajun seasoning is just paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and celery salt. Also to add to your list of potential rubs:
>Middle Eastern: cumin, cinnamon, garlic powder, lemon pepper, olive oil
>Greek: dill, garlic powder, thyme, lemon pepper, olive oil

Keep seasong basic (pretty much just salt and pepper) so you can use the chicken for different recipes.

i unironically like just salt and pepper, but i butterfly them and get them nice and brown in a skillet, most of the flavor comes from that browning
fuck anyone who bakes an inch and a half thick chicken breast in the oven for forty five minutes, that will get you chewy flavorless mush no matter what you do to it
