Nothing. Maybe pickles to add acidity. A piece of meat cooked properly is already perfection.

>Spread of mayo
>iceberg lettuce
>sliced beef tomato
>sprinkle of salt

One that won't make me sick,
One that won't make me crash my car, or make me feel three feet thick.
I want a new drug - one that won't hurt my head,
One that won't make my mouth too dry, or make my eyes too red.
One that won't make me nervous, wonderin' what to do.
One that makes me feel like I feel when I'm with you, when I'm alone with you.
One that won't spill.
One that don't cost too much, or come in a pill.
one that won't go away,
One that won't keep me up all night, one that won't make me sleep all day.
One that won't make me nervous, wonderin' what to do ...
I'm alone with you, baby.
one that does what it should,
One that won't make me feel too bad,
One that won't make me feel too good.
one with no doubt,
One that won't make me nervous, wonderin' what to do. ...
I'm alone with you, I'm alone with you, yeah.

Not even cheese?

No. I'm a burger purist you filthy fucking morons. I swear to god you mongoloids don't know a thing about cooking on this board. Every time I come here it's another fucking retard swearing by some new recipe he made up or some idiotic combination of ingredients. You fags aren't chefs and you're not even good cooks. You all love to post webms of Jack making shitty, disgusting food when you guys are barely a step above him. You aren't doing anything novel with food. You aren't making anything good. This board is full of people who want to make some """experimental""" food because they saw some of the best chefs in the world pair two uncomplimentary ingredients together on Iron Chef. In reality you guys can't do it because you're trash at cooking. You can fill a burger with your hipster-ass avocado. You can put on some aioli or whatever the fuck. You can mask the flavor of the meat with sharp cheddar, but it'll never be as good as some fucking meat between bread. You guys don't even know what's good.
Burgers are fucking beef patties between two buns. Get it right.
>eating a burger below medium
I don't understand this meme. It's not a fucking steak
>>9300555
>>9300548
Aren't you worried that you're masking the steak with the buns?
Double Jalapeno Cheese burger from White Castle
Four of these with an order of fries and a coke and I'll be a good gassy boy with those spicey farts
Top potato bread bun
Onion rings/straws
Provolone
1/3lb 80/20 ground pork cooked medium
Grilled mushrooms
BBQ & ketchup
Bottom potato bun
Bottom to top:
Patty: freshly ground short rib meat, seasoned with salt & pepper, pan-seared with a good crust. Cooked medium rare to medium.
Two slices processed cheese. I consider myself a cheese snob, but let's face it: no cheese has better texture for a burger than the processed stuff.
A few deep-fried onions rings (Vidalia onions, battered not breaded) for crunchy texture
Spicy, smoky, BBQ sauce
Dry-cured bacon (not that water-injected shit)
Brioche or potato bread bun, cooked in the dripping left over from cooking the patty.
>>9300592
Forgot to add, ground pork has Worcestershire and garlic salt
Mcdouble dry with mustard
>>9300548

nah m8 I'm not jewish I can actually have a real burger with cheese, thanks for trying tho
cooked medium topped with american cheese, bacon, fried egg, ketchup and mustard, and mayo. perfect enough for me
>>9300716
>I feel like pork could benefit from some other herbs or something mixed into the patty,
I'm not the guy you're replying to, but those are my thoughts exactly. Most ground pork is very mild in flavor so it does need something added. But anon did mention adding Worcestershire, which would go a long way to making the bland pork a lot more flavorful.

>perfect burger
I'm still trying to find it.
I'll tell you the best burger I've had to date though. It's by a greasy burger shop a friend of mine took me. I never grabbed the name, but I know where it's located. It was a simple burger, cheese, caramelized onions and I think 1k island sauce. But the way it was cooked was amazing; I don't know if it was a fattier cut of meat or if the butter was absorbed more readily, but it was an amazingly greasy burger. It definitely was fried in salted butter, and I'm sure the onions were caramelized in the same fat, but damn. The amount of salt was perfect and the taste of the butter and cheese was exceptional. It was like eating a fine bit of prime rib. You'd think that the bun would be greasy and falling apart, but amazingly, it was toasted just right, leaving a satisfying crunch with each bite. Of course, such a burger was way too greasy to eat more than once in a blue moon, but it was delicious. Which is why it didn't make the perfect burger list.

you should form the patty with a dent in the middle and let it form in the fridge overnight for the form to not be se rounded, makes the whole burger more compact and easier to eat.

Toasted bun
Grilled onions
Bbq sauce
Smoked gouda

Toasted bun, standard sesame seed bun will do.

Lettuce for crunch.
And pickled jalepenos, my favorite burger topping for the heat and bit of acidity from the pickling.
