Hi /ck/,
I'm entertaining some company at this evening at my place, and I purchased a nice rack of lamb to serve as part of the main course.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions what to make for the sides/dessert. Will be going to the market in a bit, and will post pics of the meal after cooking.
So far I have in mind the following;
1. Couscous salad with mint, parsley, roquette, pine nuts, lemon juice etc.. however I'm not sure if the fresh herbs will be good at the market
2. Roast potatoes/carrots - can glaze the carrots maybe with some honey dijon and I have some leftover duck fat for the potatoes, this seems a bit boring though.
3. Hassleback potatoes / light simple salad with tomatoes, grapes & feta. Yes I know hassselback potatoes are pretty meme-tier, but my company is unlikely to know this so it could be quite novel.
Dessert I'm not too fussed with, may either do a chocolate mousse or just have some fruits and cheese. But we're likely to be pretty drunk by that stage so I may forgo it entirely.
If anyone has any suggestions or input I'd be grateful.
