i always toast my sesame seeds when i make pastelli
incidentally, i fell for the "hurr pasteli is le first energy bar" meme and i brought some wrapped in tin foil on a hiking trip. that shit was impossible to peel, so i only got to eat one and left my hands so sticky i had to use some of my drinking water to wash up too.
don't bring pastelli on a hiking trip. i heard if you use some sugar they harden up, but i made mine with honey only. tasty shit though, a great desert, especially for women who are concerned about eating healthy
