How does ck feel about saving cooking oil? I've heard it adds flavor.
Pic related is the oil from the fish filet I just cooked.

lowest quality bait I've seen on any board in a while.
it's somewhat common practice. for example, KFC cycles the pressure cooker oil in to the normal deep fryers for added flavor before disposing of it
If I make something with very little residue, like french fries, I'll save it. Otherwise no.
I only save bacon grease, which I strain through a sieve to remove the bigger particles from. It works well as a cooking oil and adds a lot of flavor, but it can only really be used in certain dishes.

Please stop using cooking oil, the polyunsaturated fat will kill you.
But coconut oil (mainly saturated fat) is okay and olive oil too, in moderation.

I save cooking oil, but i dip wooden briquettes in it during winter as a heat source for the central heating system
Also painted a raw wooden boat with it once.
I heard you can even drive a diesel with it but you need to filter it and add some compound that thins it out somehow. Like a paint thinner but i dont know if its a nitro or an oil base. Nitro is much more potent

I only save it so it doesn't go down the drain, then toss it when the jar is full.
I save it because grandma uses it to make soap bars

It disgusts me in the same way as people that wash all of their dishes in the same sink of dishwater.
Depends.
I'll make some garlic shrimp. I do this taking their shells off and infusing olive oil with their flavor by cooking them and some garlic in the oil. Then I strain and save the oil to cook the actual shrimp and serve them in it.
I've saved this oil for sauces in pasta for example. But this was a next day thing.
What you have there looks gross.

i do the same, my mom uses it for when she makes beans. i dont' see the need to strain it though.
