How long until eggs go bad?
I have a couple of eggs and their best before date is 13th of July. When do eggs lose their taste / start tasting bad?

Eggs keep for months.
If your eggs are bad you will know it; there will be an unbearable sulfurous stench.
Dates, as usual, are meaningless.

Yeah, like my dates with your mom.

If they smell like sulfur, they're bad. "Best before" dates are a legal liability/ marketing thing, most food can go a day or two after them at least. Just smell it and eyeball it and use some common sense.

>take glass of water
>put egg in
>if it floats don't eat it
Simple as that. Also you'll know they're inedible the second you crack them, you can't not notice the smell.

>current year
>not leaving eggs out in the sun before cooking them
ISHIGGYDIGGY
they will still be good for weeks. even when they start going bad, you can make deviled eggs (age actually makes deviled eggs taste better)

I know the difference, but god help me if that near-full gallon of milk is one day past the best by. Down the drain it goes.

>twenty-seven and a teen
>not cooking your eggs out in the sun
boi

Why would you pay so much attention to the date when a simple smell can tell you if the milk is bad or not?
Why throw away milk that's perfectly good?
Just toss them.
A dozen eggs is less than a dollar.

Get a cup of water or a pan and submerged the eggs in water.
Super fresh eggs lay on their sides while bad eggs float to the top. If they remain submerged they are edible
