what are some fruits that can last a week in the fridge without spoiling? I want to bring fruit to work for lunch , but I've been mostly relying on mangoes and carrots. I like peaches and berries but those spoil quickly or don't last long after they have been diced/sliced.

I find whole strawberries and grapes do well for a few days

Not fucking blackberries, that's for sure. I used to work in a produce department. Out of a brand-new case of 16 packages right off the truck, at least four would have mold in them.

Cherries would do well. Citrus of course. Maybe some melons? Cantaloupe, honeydew, etc? Or just buy some apples and make some Waldorf salad occasionally.

>love cherries

I've become tired of living.

Is that why those fuckin things are so goddamn expensive? To make up for all the shit that comes in already bad?

Probably. When we had them on sale I always assumed they were a loss leader to get asses in the store.
