unless you're in a metro area, you never want to go to your local chocolate or dessert place. quality chocolate can keep pretty well when shipping and brands like john kelly, royce, etc.. are known for a reason.

if you go to some random 5 star local place, 9 times out of 10 its some family making a bunch of novelty items out of pre-packaged ingredients and slapping a homemade gourmet label on it
