Thanks for making a thread about an image you just saved from another thread.

WHY DOES THE BIG KAHUNA BURGER LOOK SO DAMN GOOD
IT SHOULDN'T EVEN LOOK THAT GOOD IT'S PROBABLY JUST A PLAIN OLD ROYALE WITH CHEESE FROM MCDONALDS
I can only guess it's not real.
Probably the same food photography tricks they use for menus and advertising
>>9249011
I feel like a big kahuna burger should have pineapple and bbq sauce on it.
>>9249068
that actually sounds really good
maybe with a good tomato sauce and some bacon too
shit i gotta try this next time i make burgers
>>9249075
They have it at a couple of burger joints in my area. Grill the pineapple, add some smoked bacon, and cheese of your choice. Ive used gouda or pepperjack. I've been some places that use teriyaki sauce instead of barbecue, if that's more up your alley. It's usually called a Hawaiian burger or a hula burger or something like that. Always a tasty treat.

Uh, no. Food photography is full of tricks. Food degrades fast under studio lights. When you see a nice photo or video of food for a commercial, chances are that half of the shit you see isn't real food, or is modified in some way.
>>9249127
that and in a lot of commercials the actors don't even eat the food, they just pretend to eat it, like a kid pretending to eat a plastic hamburger toy or something
>>9249127
Ok, well, having worked on shoots for pic related, i guess i have no idea what I'm talking about
Also
>food degrades fast under studio lights
how retarded are you? Unless your food is sitting ON something 5k or more, you're fine; have you every heard of HEAT LAMPS?
>>9249127
>make hamburgers
>grilling out in the sun in 40°C weather
>leave burgers out on a picnic table
>burgers still look immaculate 1 hour later
>mfw studio lights are more powerful than the sun
>>9249165
Braums is top shit.

pineapple sauce on burgers is also a columbian thing. they put a few other sauces and potato chips on it as well. It is kind of overkill though.
>>9249303
>2% milk
why? why not just get 3,6% or 0,1%?
The breakfast scene from Pleasentville gets me everytime.
>>9249283
>pink
what's that
>>9250620
pink flavored sauce
>>9250620
1000 Island maybe?
>>9249127
WRONG faggot. They just put extra care into cooking the food and arrange the items on the bun in a way to make it look appealing. Most of the burger condiments are halfway off the bun, but it is the same food products that they serve to customers, only prepared and arranged with much more care and detail.

False, it's actually required to be "actual product" otherwise they can get hammered with a false advertisement suit. So what they do is take dozens and dozens of the item they're photographing and assemble the most beautiful constituent parts. Cheese from this burger, bun from that, etc.

you're aware that cereal commercials use glue instead of milk?
>tfw there is a place called Big Kahuna in your city
>tfw they have a hamburger called Royale with cheese that looks like the picture on OP.
>tfw it's delicious

damn his fingers are black as shit
>>9249165
He was right though.
>>9249165
Studio lights are literally hotter than heat lamps. If you put a diffuser too close they will sometimes burst into flames.

>worksin a coal mine with no protective gear
>smokes cigarettes. Chinese cigarettes
I give that man a month to live at most.

Ate at Big Kahuna's in Imperial Beach once, honestly pretty fucking good. Burger I got was massive, took forever to make, couldnt finish it during lunch break and had to take the rest home.... it was worth it.
