Yeah, it just won't taste as fresh at it used to. I have some herbs and spices in my kitchen that are 19 years old, but were sealed for 15 years. They're still alright, I don't use them often. My grandma, as of 2014, had spices from the 70's in her cupboard. I smelled them and they seemed alright, but I didn't use any in the meal I was making for us.
