There's a donut shop on the boardwalk of this small North Carolina town outside of Wilmington that makes the best donuts I've ever eaten. They're only open a few months a year, summer time, for obvious reasons. No one goes to the remote beaches of the Carolinas during winter months. I bought a cottage there 15 years ago after a few vacations, worth every fucking penny just to wake up on lazy summer mornings and grab a bag of hot sticky doughnuts to have with coffee before getting wasted on the beach and catching shark after shark after shark.
