Aye, they have a bunch of land near the town I live in, pool their income, all that. I have actually worked with a few of them, they're pretty much as less creepy as a cult can be. There's all sorts of rumors about what goes on at their place, but I do know for a fact that their leader guy believes himself to be the biblical Noah.

He is not imprisoned, I saved him at 3 days old after I accidently crowbar'd his family. I love my squirrel and he protects my backdoor from gnomes.
>>
>>9230333
They force it on themselves because they know they would drink if they didn't. Then regret it later, but that's the point, right?
>>
>>9230333
Addiction is just not something people without it really get. If you ever look at someone and think, "Why don't you just STOP???" then consider yourself fortunate.
>>
>>9230339
>He's not imprisoned.
It's in a prison.
If he wanted to be there, he would stay.
If he wanted to stay, the cage is unnecessary.
He is being held captive against his will.
>not prison
Fuck off

He's not protecting shit from within a cage. The gnomes are coming.
>>
>>9230360
Kek, right? They told me the squirrel is an agent and is going to help them wreck his shit.
>>
>>9230333
Oh I do it all the damn time. My capacity for alcohol knows few bounds. Typically if I have it I'll drink it.
The biggest problem for me though is that it is hard as shit to acquire more. It's a daily mission to make it to the shop, pray that there's no queue, grab what I need without knocking 100 things off the shelf, try 200 times to type my pin, pocket the bottle if it's vodka or manage to get it into my backpack if it's cider, then gtfo before I throw up, and get the fucking key in the door when I'm home, before a neighbour shows up and starts giving me shit for whatever peculiar, haunting screeching/banging noises I made the night before. It's not like I can just casually stroll to the shop at will and leisurely browse while stocking up, it's a fucking precision mission to make the immediate threat of horrifying WD gtfo asap.
>>
About to do some shopping.

Been drinking whiskey nightly for the last 6 months or so. Kind of tired of it.

What buy?
>>
>>9230260
>No, we will burn them.
Wait, are you making Molotov cocktails?
Hold on man, you need help from someone sober, you're too drunk for this shit.

>>9230360
>Whaa whaa having a pet is bad
It never lived in the outside, it would die there. Many dangerous things in a house for a squirrel too.
It looks sad, but in this case it's for the best.
>>
>>9230386
>In the outside
>>
>>9230360
I let him outside the cage but he goes back at night. I let him outside and he begs to be back in.
>>
>>9230386
No hes happy and healthy and squirrely I let him out for 1-3hours a day until he tires out.
>>
>>9230386
>Wait, are you making Molotov cocktails?
Waste of perfectly good alcohol!
>>
>>9230446
Oh that cool. I didn't know you could let them run outside and they'd come back.
Shit I need a squirrel.

Can you give tips on capturing and raising a squirrel before you burn yourself?

>Got any feels to get off your chest?
Yea, this is an odd situation that happens sometimes. I don't want to claim ignorance but I have someone in my life lying to me and at this point I know this bitch is fucking with me. She doesn't actually know me at all and thinks she can get away with this? I'm trying to be calm since she doesn't know the real me but this is normal with most people. When they don't know you they will fuck with you and waste your fucking time, in this situation you have I have to listen to her and if I say anything to this bitch she will think of me as an asshole and probably tell all her friends. I don't know what to do but with women who think they can keep fucking with a man because you wont say shit or smack a bitch. I'm seriously starting to get tired of hoes like this, do they think I won't smack a bitch? I guess I have more to lose than her if I do anything but she is fucking with me and is very disrespectful. She does not know who I really am....

>>9230142
At work today I made so many mistakes.
I haven't been sober at my job for six months.
Every step was apparently the wrong one. I am just too kind of a human being and kept believing the fucking lies people on the phone told me (IT hell desk worker for the exp).

My tolerance has gone down a bit after being sober for five days and it feels nice to not need 10+ drinks to feel something.

I just don't know anymore...drinking will kill me, but make me happy, but being sober will make me depressed because I am not alexander the great or anything.
I was a neet till 2 years ago, got a degree and a good job to move out of my fathers house and it just seems the change was all too fast. I moved from the suburbs to the city and holy fuck people are rude.

I made a friend at work and he set me up on a blind date and I just laughed, but the girl texted me that I was cute and I just laughed, I just got drunk instead and she called me a jerk and coward.

I have been a neet so long I just don't understand some girl would call me cute. I fucked up.

I just need help transitioning from neet to something else.

normies love glasses, my roommate has a shit ton of fucking "novelty" glasses and when I drink sailor jerry from the bottle he complains.
cheers m8, we will find what we are searching for eventually.
>>
>>9230733
beer is the entire "soup" that makes alcohol. liquor is that soup heating to a point where alcohol evaporates and is collected. the process is called distilling. so really liquor should not have gluten at all. alcohol evaporates at a lower temp than water so its easy to isolate.

Titos is high quality stuff. According to legend he sold everything and went deep into credit card debt to setup his distillery. I remember when it came out about 15 years ago or whatever. Word of mouth strictly. I don't even know if they advertise nationally. See an occasional billboard here in Austin nowadays. But yeah, word of mouth really made his fortune. It's good stuff.

Its a craft vodka. More care is taken when its made. If you want a lower priced thing you can get monoplowa, which is polish potato vodka. It's just as good. Lukosusowa is also good, and cheaper than titos.

Hi,

So I found this page in my husband's browsing history, I feel like this is some kind of a forum or a message board for recovering alcoholics?
When I married Rob he promised never to drink again, and today when I was going through the garage I found an empty bottle... He's at work right now and I don't know what to do.
Should I be worried?
Should I talk to him about it?
Can anyone here tell me if I should be worried about him, has he started drinking again?
Thank you.

Sorry, I couldn't find an edit button and I felt like I needed to say that I'm not blaming him for anything, I just feel like I need to be there for him and to help him get through this, I'm not judging, I just feel like I should be doing something.
>>
>>9232499

The promises of an addict (I'm a recovering one,) don't mean anything. I've promised myself and other time and time again that I wouldn't drink just for the DAY, let alone forever.

Confront him, in my opinion. Give him a chance to tell his side of the story. Big difference between a slip up and a full blown relapse.
Good morning, fellow dru/ck/s. Today is day #25 sober. I couldn't have done it without the help of the addict section of the local mental health hospital. There I had a chance to meet with doctors who would give me Valium to help wean me off three pints of vodka a day. I'm on the waiting list for a psychiatrist and an outpatient rehab where I can meet with doctors, addiction councillors, and therapists. Thankfully we have health care here.

Mall drinker out.

Have a good 24.

There is no edit, no account, and little possibility to delete. Do NOT post name, address, credit card etc.
>Should I be worried?
Shhh. Everything is going to be OK.
>Should I talk to him about it?
Err, probably. He'll be pissed you found out, I don't think there is a way around the shame he'll feel and/or anger reaction. Tell him he has your support for recovery and stuff.
>Can anyone here tell me if I should be worried about him, has he started drinking again?
Yes, and probably. It's pointless to be angry at him for breaking his promise (be pissed at the fact that ethanol is very addictive, addiction last forever, and booze is widely available).
Best thing to do it to be understanding, and encourage him to stop. The sooner the better.
Oh, and it still has to come from him, it doesn't work to force someone to stop. I come here to scare myself from drinking again, so it shouldn't be too hard to convince him.

Good luck.

Yes you should be worried and our promises don't mean anything, at least not when it comes to our poison.

It's a good idea to confront him with evidence but do it calmly and don't be angry. If you want to help him offer him all the help you can but don't force it on him because it won't work.

Best of luck.

Yes
>Should I talk to him about it?
Yes. Tell him that if he doesn't want to talk to you about it, he needs to talk to someone else. Just stay calm and don't start a goddamn fight. He'll likely get defensive. Just be calm and tell him that you guys have to work this out
>Can anyone here tell me if I should be worried about him, has he started drinking again?
Only you can answer that. I don't know him but if he is drinking, he'll likely lie when you first confront him about this.

Godspeed. Hopefully he's not a piece of shit and realizes this is an issue, he slipped, and he is willing to get help, get on the right track, and get his shit together.

What a fag. And if you pushed him to promise that, you're a bitch who deserves a distrustful and unhappy marriage.

There's nothing wrong with him drinking if he isn't doing anything objectionable because of drunkenness.
>>

Come on, don't play mindgames with the dude. You don't have to present the bottle like exhibit A or some shit. Just tell him you found it and ask him straight up, "I found an empty bottle, it's not recent is it?" As has been said, be calm even if he gets shitty. If he lies, he lies. It will come out. If he wants to drink and be a tit, you may as well go ahead and file, because it's going to happen eventually.

Also to whomever said to confront him with another person on your side, that's the worst idea I have ever heard. He'll feel like he's being ganged up on (and be RIGHT), and then have a half-ass excused to go get a bottle right in front of your face.

>>9234085
Realistically, what's the minimum I'd have to spend, and the approximate amount of time it'd take to learn, to get a batch of vodka which will get me drunk and won't kill me? Can you link, uh, some kind of starter kit or something? Keep in mind that im 100% novice. The one time I've made vodka it was literally a bag to which I was told to add water then leave. It got me drunk, but it was black and I had to eat much of it with a spoon. That was about 20 years ago and the taste still haunts me.
>>
>>9234159
If you distil from only sugar there is no methanol production so you basically end up with the safest alcohol there is. It gets a bit trickier if you want to make brandies and whiskeys and the like, but not by a lot.

The basic procedure is just mixing water and sugar until it dissolves, at yeast nutrient, and at yeast. If you use a turbo yeast the nutrients are already in with the yeast so you just have to dump a baggy into your sugarwater, stir, close the bucket/vat with an airlock and wait for a week or two.

Then you put it in the still, run it, dilute the end result, filter it if you want, and you're done.

If I were you I'd just check out some distilling sites and forums. Keep in mind that a lot of those people are advanced and often snobs though, so what they consider barely drinkable is divine nectar to a run of the mill drunkard.

There's a lot of info to be found with a few searches. I'd refer you to my resources but none of them are in English.

I've heard that (and heard others say it's bullshit). Would probably be good to try but don't think it's gonna happen, I haven't been sober for more than a month in a decade. Almost went out drinking today.

>If this works out I know like 50 local alchies/hobos/juniors who'd bite my arm off to buy cheap moonshine.
Once you start selling you're putting yourself at risk. I never even told anyone about my shining other than close family.

Dealers say that you shouldn't get high on your own supply but the real risk is trying to sell your supply, If you keep to yourself you will rarely if ever have trouble, but the moment you put yourself out there you're potentially fucked. I'd treat it like I'd treat growing weed: Only for yourself. As soon as you get unreliable people involved you're asking for trouble.

>I'm sick to death of spending a fortune on vodka, and I'm kidding myself by thinking I'll ever quit.
The funny thing is, moonshining has actually drove me to drink moderately. I took a long break after tapering and only have a few drinks a day now.

I used to be obsessed with liquor because it was a scarce product. Now I can literally drink from the bucket. Something about that made me realise that if there are no obstacles at all, drinking like an alckie isn't interesting or worth it. It's like playing a game with cheats, once you have an infinite supply the game loses it's appeal and you can just take it or leave it. I honestly think making booze saved me from further spiralling into alcoholism. At least that's how it worked for me, maybe you'll turn into a complete madman.

I do feel a bit lightheaded after sampling that 140proof right out the still though, wew lad. Diluted it down to 80 and running it through a charcoal filter now for extra smoothness.
>>

The whole 'once your brain recovers you're fine' is probably true for people with normie brains who got caught up in the booze but not for those who started drinking to self-medicate underlying mental problems.

I usually keep an empty handle around for a piss jug. Drinking my half full handle tonight it tastes a bit diluted and.....off. I think I may have drunkenly pissed in my half full handle by mistake. Oh well bottoms up al/ck/
>>
>>9235377
>does it still retain its taste and alcohol content or is it harmful

Taste? Depends on the beer. Harmful? No.
>>
>>9235839
Wouldn't worry about it. I've drunk the contents of a piss jug because I needed to piss but it was full.
>>
>tfw started to feel sick yesterday but said fuck it and drank

Broke my 4th month sober yesterday. Got really drunk with some lads.
Massive hangover and headache, but no desire to drink, really. I just wanted to know how i'd react, and i'm satisfied.
>>
not an alck but apparently people who drink alone are considered alcks? I've been drinking alone forever and I only drink when i feel like it.

Gin, tanquery and grapefruit perrier. Pretty drunk atm.
>>
7 days sober. 4 weeks ago exactly I got so drunk I couldn't work the following Monday and lost my job. I spent about a week drunk after that, sobered up then fell off the wagon again. Anyway 7 days ago I got so drunk I ruined a friendship, lost a bunch of money, peed and pooped in my bed and woke up so miserable I didn't even clean it up all day sunday. I just wallowed in it. I got a call that day to come in Monday for my THIRD interview for the same job and showed up to that still hungover from that Saturday. Anyway, 7 days ago, 7 days no booze. Life is better. Different. I can't ever forget how bad hangovers are and the damage they do.

I know your feel though. I've taken weeks off for benders though.. I'm not bragging, it's sad.. Hell, I've even gone to an interview or two after a few shots of vodka.

I've pissed myself lots of times while drinking, never shat though. Well done anon.

This is like 20% of one of my 3 trees. Once I've picked and fermented all the apples, I start on the blackberries, then the plums, then the pears. This gone be gud. I might have enough to get drunk for an entire afternoon.
>>
>>9237147
Lel, that is about 5% of my apple output from all the trees.
Alcohol gonna be coming out of my ass all year soon, they don't finish growing until like october though
>>
Have important things to do Tuesday and Wednesday so need to be sober.

The sweating has started, assume that there will be little to no sleep and all the other fun stuff. Any good ideas? I heard someone say chamomile tea, vitamins, anything else?
>>
>>9237566
Sugar from fruit/honey seems to make me feel a lot better. Eating well in general is a comfy relief after a food-free binge.
Guessing you have no access to benzos? They're the only real solution other than small, controlled doses of booze
>>

I used to just put random chemicals, anything, into a bag and inhale in an attempt to get a buzz. Bet it did my lungs a world of good.
That butane buzz is pretty amazing though tbqh.
>>
>>9237596
Yeah I have eaten some food, and fruit.

Nope no benzo or any more alcohol, hasn't been that long that it should be necessary.

But thanks.

So had to do a short social meeting with friends, trying to not look like not detoxing. Failing miserably and sweating all over the place, like crazy amounts. Having to wipe my forehead literally several times a minute. So having to say that I'm sick after having said that everything was fine 5 minutes before.

Well they were nice and gave me OTC medicine, made me tea and offered help. Some very nice people, no idea what I have done to deserve this.
>>
>>9237828
Milt thistle looks very interesting.
>>
>>9237842
That's what detoxing Is? Holy shit, it is summer here but I thought it was really odd that I was having to get tissues to wipe the sweat off of my face constantly.
>>
>>9237852
Sweating is one symptom, not one of the bad one's but it's hard to hide.
>>
>>9237869
Shit. I'm skinny as fuck too, and I was walking through a hospital the other day, literally everyone in that hospital was probably like 'this motherfucker is detoxing badly' and I didn't even realise lmao
>>
>>9237887
Well there are other medical reasons for excessive sweating but yeah if you drink a lot that is probably that. Just be happy that it isn't worse.

Look into the other symptoms maybe you have had more. "Symptoms typically include anxiety, shakiness, sweating, vomiting, fast heart rate, and a mild fever"

Yeah they have probably seen it all before.

>>
>>9237852
You can start sweating because you're pushing the booze out through your skin. This general is hillarious because most people here have no idea what they are doing to their bodies.

Sweating isn't bad. I hated it when my drinking got to the level where even after having a few sips I still can't breathe or get any relief from hellish anxiety.
>>
>>9236292
hang reminders on your wall. printouts of termination letters, hospital discharge papers, whatever. those help a lot in my opinion.

>>9237938
you are uninformed and retarded. sweating is part of the glutamine rebound during withdrawals. your nervous system is working extra hard to compensate for the depressant effects of alcohol. when the alcohol wears off you are left with an extra-excited states. sweating, anxiety, insomnia are all part of this. nobody sweats out alcohol you fucking idiot.
