I have a buttload of walnuts. Whats a good dessert (or savory dish, I just thought walnut desserts are more common) to make with as much walnuts as possible?

i mean to be fair i looked up the recipe and it contains bourbon. I'm probably not gonna use bourbon because I'm not gonna go out of my way to spend extra money to get rid of an ass load of pecans. Probably use some scotch (or more accurately japanese scotch style whisky)

You can find pomegranate molasses at any Middle Eastern/Mediterranean store or just make your own by boiling down pomegranate juice.

Soak instant oats in milk for 10-20 minutes, add some kind of flake cereal and lots of walnuts. Usually have this for breakfast, but sometimes for dinner too.

Make this pancake recipe (I usually put more walnuts in though):

Pulse them in a food processor until fairly fine. Add an equal amount of dried fruit (you can use more or less depending on preference for sweetness) and pulse until combined. Press it into a baking dish and refrigerate until it firms up a bit. Cut into squares or whatever you want. Makes a nice snack/dessert, with a texture almost like fudge.

Kentucky boy here, Derby Pie is served at Churchill Downs every race day, its a tradition and its name has been around awhile.

And its not just Pecan pie, its Pecan pie with chocolate and bourbon.

Make candied walnuts.

If at home, bake some walnuts until very hot (Or you can deep fry them for 30 seconds) but not burnt and toss with a mixture that is mostly sugar, a little salt, and whatever seasonings you desire.

Salt and sugar on its own is good, they make a great snack food and dessert topping. Just make sure to toss them directly out of the oven/fryer
