When you have only one sink and don't have at least one meter of room ONLY for the prep
when you dont have enough room for your shit, obviously.

It's more about counter space and less about room to move around. I could easily crank out some gangster dishes in the picture in OP's post.

when the cook is too fat
It's pretty small, but looks almost functional enough for someone single, busy professional, who doesn't wash more than a glass or small plate, and doesn't cook more than snacks, or breakfast, mostly takeout prep and clean up. It'd be okay on a sailing vessel or in a rental condo, beach guests or something.
I notice there are no outlets near the countertops to operate a breakfast or bar essential like a blender or toaster,. Almost no use of the vertical space, so opportunities lost there for sensible storage or drying rack for glasses or plates. Also not sure from the angle of the picture, but is the countertop height really really low? like a house for a Little Person? That's also lost undercounter space, if so.
But the worst thing, is that bar sink doesn't look large enough to even diagonally clean a frying pan or wash out a pot for boiling pasta. This would be the intolerable aspect of this kitchen, more than countertop space, more than anything else. A sink that is no larger than an airplane lavatory isn't even fun for hand washing, and makes a huge mess. Hope it's not a rental, the owner will be buying new flooring sooner rather than later.
