Post your favorite ciders and lighter drinks.
I personally prefer Bulmers and Somersby.

Can you recommend a cider for someone who usually likes beer? I want to be able to enjoy cider but it always ends up tasting like sweetened apple juice cut with some kind of cheap liquor.
I've tried normal shit like Angry Orchard and Crispin's and some craft stuff from a local thing called Common Cider Company.
>>9205744
Local distillery/brewery makes this.
Very good.
Woodchuck and Magners aren't bad either.
>>9205744
Those aren't ciders.
Brooks Dry Cider is nice, but I don't think it's distributed outside of California
Hands down the best cider I've ever had. If you like cider this is my #1 recommendation. Don't know whether it's nationwide cuz I've only seen it in the NW

Nice view, wish I lived near the coast.

As an American I was impressed how cheap that was, also white lightening brand cider. Mixed with goon sack for the ultimate discount binge drinking. England was fun.

aye we've got a decent drinking culture. Frosty jacks has a place in my heart; remember when I was 12/13 me and my mates would save together all our school dinner money then have either a brother or a local radgie go in shop for us and get a few of these in. We'd just go to this park on our estate on a friday and get absolutely steaming then head back to our mate Tomo's house. Fucking class.

I had predrinks at a shitty burger joint in Sydney before a concert last week and Somersby is alright without being as sweet as say, Kopparberg.
The venue had James Squire though which tasted like $9 battery acid.

Hungary, currently in Balaton

Wew, you have yet a world to experience...

Anon, i'd tell you to go try some Bacardi. It's good for a start, it is't any special but if does the job if you want to get used to the extra flavors that comes with a cider.

aye literally this except these lads look like they're from Scotland and/or Preston rather from Liverpool like me - its the baggy mckenzie trackies and fake pringle jumpers. like a third of the lads I started necking frosties with in the earlier days are now either nicked or proper reprobates, smoking brown and spice.

I hope you don't mind, I'm using this paragraph verbatim in a short story I'm writing. The language is perfect for what I need.

Chav culture is endearing, the likes of Pikey cuture. Keep on keepin' on you crazy cat.
:^)
Op you have shit taste wow
>>9206716
y-you too
>>9205744
We only have a cheap replica of Somersby here. My head hurts every time I drink it. Feels bad man.
>>9206245
They sell JK Scrumpy in Illinois. I've never had a bad cider from them
Ace's Joker cider was my go to six pack for a while. Super Smooth, and the ABV didn't hurt
Wyder's Dry Raspberry Cider.
That shit is the most refreshing drink I have ever had. Not really much going for it alcohol-wise but it is damn tasty after a hot day.

This
And the Bulmers series, the Red Berries are one hell of a 500ml refreshment.
>live in SoCal, birthplace of the reinvigorated IPA meme
>same town as arrogant bastard pale ale brew co which is apparently one of the largest/most famous IPA breweries in the world to the point where almost everybody around here has a shirt of theirs
>only like hard cider
i like ace's, angry orchard, and shock top apple if i'm in a bind
How much do you pay for a 12 to 20oz bottle of cider? All the ones I see at the grocery store near me are 4 to 8 bucks per, which seems kind of ridiculous to me.
PNW only as far as I'm aware, but pretty good. Other flavors are good as well, but being over 10% is a bonus in my book.
>>9210623
The ones with 500ml and 7% are a work of art. You purchase two of them and off you go in to wonderland.
>>9206778
Is Somersby sold in the US?
Damn, no Seattle Cider? Easily the best cider I've had so far.
I don't need my cider carbonated
>>9211192
The bottles i bought said they were imported from Croatia, but there is a good chance that they do indeed stock them in the USA.
UK bros, thoughts?
>>9211770
I think we need to stop fucking with cider so much and make good cider, not spastic monstrosity ciders
>>9211795
I don't know, I discovered it in a bar on draught and it was so good
I got a chance to try Foggy Ridge ciders when I ate at Husk Nashville.
Legit some of the best alcohol I have ever had.
I had 3 bottles of their Pippin Gold, which is a Cider done like a Port shipped to California.
10/10

Live somewhere on/near the west coast? They make them in Oregon but I'm pretty sure they sell them in Washington, California, and Idaho as well. They're pretty good, price ranges from 5 to 8 a bottle depending on flavor (pic related tends to be more expensive), or $12 for a 6 pack of 12oz cans.
>>9205744
JK scrumpy's is my fav, really good shit
>>9212037
Nah, sadly i'm in Europe
