Thanks anons
>>
i will only eat it if jack was a recipe for it.
>>
>>9202680

i mostly just insult people on /ck/ but it looks like you just boiled some pasta and put it in a pan with cheese and sauce and maybe meat and baked it. which is what you're supposed to do. it looks good.
>>
I would of added veggies into it.
>>
>>9202680
That crispy cheesy top is a 10/10.
>>
>>9202732
thats pretty much what it is. although i simmered my ragu for a while to give it really intense flavor.
>>9202741
will do next time thanks
>>9202719
no jack just mozzarella, parm, and ricotta
>>
>>9202748
thanks

Anon, those aren't ziti though. Looks good, but you didn't bake ziti, looks to me like you baked some fat stubby penne.
>>
>>9202680
>>9202683

>>
>>9202774

i approve
>>
nice browning on the cheese, the corners and edges are my favorite parts when it's like that

>>9202774
>fat stubby penne
it's rigatoni
>>
Looks yummy OP.
>>9202683
Leave the rest to cool in the pan before you start sectioning it for the freezer ziplocs/microwave containers. It slices up better in perfect little squares if it cools. Even refrigerate it overnight and section with a nice sharp knife in the morning.

I love the crusts and corners, that's key for me. Also I drop clumps of seasoned ricotta in my, so I get that lasagna mood with ziti.
>>
>>9202680

Looks indulgent. Cooked well. I like how the pasta and sauce/meat is actually well mixed and distributed appropriately.

Would eat with a nice salad.

Top looks a bit too cooked for my liking, but from your second picture the sauce and cheese seems very nicely distributed between the layers of noodle. Would eat. Hope you served it with a shaving of Parmigiano-Reggiano, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, and a dollop of ricotta. ;)
>>
I think your ziti is cooked the perfect amount
>>
Carmella soprano approves
>>
>>9202752
provolone would be good too desu
>>
>>9202680
Could have been taken out a few minutes earlier but I'd eat it and probably come back for seconds
>>
>>9202680
>>9203866
Also I have that same pan
>>
>>9203866
i think it looks just about right

nice and crispy on the top and edges, still soft and gooey in the middle

i love a good crispy outside in most anything baked
>>
>>9202680
>>9202683

Cozy as hell dude, good job
>>
>>9203882
Those edges seem a bit overdone but that's just me, to each his own
>>
>>9203930
actually the edges do look a little dark. still not bad tho

more of what you'd serve is in the middle so i guess can you can cater to people who like it extra crispy and people who don't
>>
>>9203935
True, and I've made baked ziti that looks just like that quite a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it, OP did a pretty decent job
>>
>>9202680
>>9202683
yeah, I'd eat it. looks comfy. good job OP
>>
my only criticism is i don't get to eat it right now
>>
>>9202680
Needs more burnt edges 9/10
>>
Hell yes I'd eat that. Looks perfectly done. Well mixed. Well baked. Just perfect. I even have the same pan. The rigatoni doesn't look over softened or too hard. Perfectly done, OP.
>>
>>9202680
How much money did this ziti take to make?
>>
>>9204976
about tree fiddy
>>
Looks great, OP!
>>
>>9204976
i used a chuck roast that i had in my freezer, ground it up (2 pounds). i would guess maybe 10 dollars? 2 jars of marinara 3-4 dollars for both, ziti was under 2 dollars, ricotta under 2 dollars, cheese is hard to say cause i had some laying around in the fridge. pretty cheap and really tasty.

You gotta make your own sauce man. It's more work but so much better and it costs less. That's a really good price for ricotta though. It costs $4 a pint where I live.
>>
>>9208278
thanks
>>9208283
true, i love making bolognese but i was kinda lazy and wanted something kinda quick. yea i live in the south kek
>>
>>9208293

As long as you do make it sometimes then there's no shame in some store bought sauce. I live in Atlanta actually. I've got a friend who uses cottage cheese in her lasag'. It's decent and obviously cheaper but not worth the $2 savings for something that's an occasional treat.
>>
>>9202680
As far as baked pastas go, its not bad looking! But fucking ziti is the most pleb tier of all pastas. Literally any other shape would have been better.

Cooks country calls for cottage cheese in their lasagna recipe. I had my doubts, but it actually makes the best white sauce layer I've ever had.
>>
>>9208351

I've had it a few times. It's her mom's recipe and she's a really good cook so I just see it as an alternative. I like it but I like ricotta better.
