Err, logic doesn't work like that, because every single mexican or asian soup would be chili in that case.

Beans if I'm going to eat it from a bowl. No beans if I'm making burritos as I'll make refried beans and slather them on the tortilla before adding the chili. Eating a meat only stew from a bowl is disgusting.
