When my baby 7 months is chilling with us while grilling and chilling, I like to feed him too.
Obviously there is no blender available, so I will chew the burger or dog or chicken a few times and baby feed him.
He doesn't mind. He actually whining at the moment because he wants more pre chewed bratwurst.
Someone at my house tonight said it was gross. So what's your guys opinion on the subject?
My wife is from Indonesia and breastfed our kid until he was 2, and people think that's weird.
You're fine bud.
The practice itself is fine - there hasn't been pre-jarred baby food and blenders for all of human history.
However, I'm pretty sure there are certain foods you're not supposed to give babies, and I think sausage might be one of them. You might want to double check what is okay.

Absolutely fine, it's what they did in the olden days and we're still here.
Someone at your house needs to leave YOUR house.

I wouldnt do it in a public place or with other non family members around but I guess its not too weird. The food itself is probably not the best for a baby but in small amounts should be fine. Im sure there are historic records of humans pre-chewing for babies before baby food became available. Just be sure you dont have any contagious oral diseases
Thanks guys. I figured as much. It probably gives him some good immune system boost as well. Doctor cleared him for all foods but honey nuts and seafood.
He fucking loves grilled meat.

It is weird. There's no reason to breastfeed beyond the first year, your kid is going to have mental issues

Agreed. We plan on breast feeding until like one year. He's already weening off the boob and on to stuff. I try to make a pot of soup each Sunday, lentil and bean, ham and bean or something similar. We feed him that. He loves hummus and other stuff.
I sauteed some jalapenos and made eggs on top with fresh diced tomatoes. He fucking loved it. Ate half my plate.
