Probably canned crushed tomatoes with a small can of tomato paste, garlic and/or onion, parsley and/or basil, with some kind of pork or meatballs cooked in the sauce. Maybe add some red wine. Tomato sauce was made differently by each person depending on what they liked or had available, but that's a basic guideline.
