Fuuuuuck man stay off the mussle juice for god's sake. It's like drinking pure sodium
Some people shouldn't eat shellfish, OP. It's either that or you're going to a restaurant that is bad at what they do.

Having lived in Houston and Portland, now living in Denver, I would never eat fresh shellfish in a city that isn't an hour away from a coast.
Unless I'm overpaying at a restaurant that has their seafood flown in everyday.

This stuff stinks and it tastes even worse.
Love mussels, don't think I've ever gotten sick eating them. Try going to a restaurant that doesn't suck and actually serves fresh seafood.

I almost bought a pound of mussels at Tony's Market on 9th and Broadway. 1lb for $5.
I haven't done any seafood here yet either.
