Pesto is eternal

I would /sip/ this all day.
Homemade, from scratch, buttermilk ranch dressing is god tier, and I love it. But, fucking bottled ranch is disgusting. How they managed to fuck that up so badly, I'll never understand.

GEORGE: Why do I get pesto? Why do I think I'll like it? I keep trying to like it, like I have to like it.
JERRY: Who said you have to like it?
GEORGE: Everybody likes pesto. You walk into a restaurant, that's all you hear - pesto, pesto, pesto.
JERRY: I don't like pesto.
GEORGE: Where was pesto 10 years ago?

Bleu cheese dressing has so many applications and if you knew shit about food you would know that
>use it instead of cream/mayo/buttermilk in mashed potatoes for tangy mashed potatoes
>dressing for cobb salad or mix with balsamic vinaigrette for god-tier anytime dressing
>put on top of a shitty steak (don't judge me until you try it)
>mix with coleslaw
>put on sandwiches instead of mayo (BLT is my favorite with this)
>use it in anything that you would normally use ranch to make it a thousand times better

>bleu cheese
why the fuck to burgers do this

Both have applications. Also, shelf stable vs refrigerator section vs fresh made is also another variable that skews your argument.
Both are good in different applications, but it sounds like you're kind of a biased faggot on a bleu cheese kick.

spelled that way on many labels to seem gourmet. but obviously, whatever something's labeled as, that's how you spell it.

you know originally I was triggered by the apparent pointlessness of it but your measured response and reasonable explanation has cooled my jets, thank you

Ranch is the best but only certain brands. I think the mixes tend to taste much better than many of the bottled kinds, which is probably because of the sugar/HFCS in popular bottle brands. I avoid Hidden Valley as much as possible and if that's all you know as "ranch" then you should remove your comment.
