I have eaten at a vegan restaurant in *Nashville* and there was no visible feces involved, so I don't think it's Tennessee per se.

Vegan restaurants do tend to be run by hippy burnouts who think they're entitled to your money and can just serve you overpriced crap in a terrible environment because they know you don't really have anywhere else to go

Also not even vegan just keep getting conned into going, but the one in Nashville was pretty good, relatively professional, probly the best one I've been to that I can remember
