I remember trying to make these once even with oil in the base... But the rice cooker just kept cooking... Burning the bottom to ash and the top completely raw.

Japs use boxed 'extra fluffy hotcake mix" from the store and they're known to be more attentive to the exact ratio of different kinds of flour in their baking
