I never had frozen fish before so I decided to buy pic related to try it out. Let me describe this product:
>Two layers of breading encased the fish, in an elaborate attempt at deception, inflating the size of each piece with breading rather than fish
>The multi-layered breading was thick and not even tasty, and didn't crisp in the oven
>Excavated the bits of fish from within the breading, throwing out heaps of it
>US$4.99 for 7oz of product, probably less than 1oz of which is actually fish
DO NOT FALL FOR THE GORTON'S JEW!!!

This is what almost all frozen fish and sometimes chicken are like battered. Gorton's used to be a quality product, before I was born. It eventually ran the corporate brand gauntlet until it appeared to be owned by one of America's prime examples of money harvesting.
Basically the routine is
>Mom and dad business (Huge quality, very good production)
>Mom and Dad sell to bigger group (Forced to maintain a lot, to get by on name)
>Mini Corp that bought Mom and Dad now assimilated into the illuminati capitalist control grid
>Product becomes absolute garbage and makes sales expressly on name recognition
I dont even buy these on sale anymore. Van De Camp is the same. All of the premade frozen fish are absolute trash and mostly just shitty batter, probably fished from dirt and mud farms in Asia. I dont mean to sound jaded but what you said, from the image on the box at most half of that white fish between the batter is present in the actual product.
