Sup /ck/,
I know /ck/ seems to have at least one ramen thread every week so I'll ask here.
Awhile back my folks gave me some packaged noodles (the kind that comes with it's own plastic bowl) but there wasn't any cardboard packaging, just the bowl wrapped in plastic with noodles and seasonings.
Anyway, this package came with it's own built-in strainer. I've been trying to find more of these since they're really useful, but I'm having no luck. Here's some pics of the bowl.
Any ramen connoisseurs here recognize this packaging? I'm trying to figure out the brand.
The bowl is tiered so that the ramen strainer sits over a better part of the water, I guess so you can drain the noodles back into the bowl.
As an instant meal, the noodles were pretty good, I just can't find anything like this with my google-fu.
I guess I should add that it was probably discounted since the cardboard packaging was missing from the inner plastic wrap.
that's not ramen

Wtf do you need to strain ramen for? What do you use that plastic piece of crap for anyway?
They make these microwave steamer meals using the same packaging. Lean Cuisine or something.
This is why you don't use this if you're white and above the poverty line. Never talk about this again.

I strain out the ramen and make a separate broth from miso or dashi depending on the dish. (I rarely use the seasoning packet unless it's spicy)

I'll check it out.

I am white and above the poverty line. That has nothing to do with making quick ramen. Can you suggest a different method for making instant ramen at work? For a little strainer, it's handy.
