GF is skulking around the lake digging up clams for no reason. How can we prepare these things to eat?
>>
>>9136157
I skulked your gf's clam but I wouldn't eat it.
>>
>>9136157

1. open clam
2. place meat on hook tied to a fishing rod
3. throw hook into water
4. catch catfish
5. eat
>>
>>9136157
Is it a hairy clam?
>>
>>9136166
Or just dig up some mud and bake.

>how do i best get heavy metal poisoning, /ck/?

>GF skulking around the lake by herself picking clams while I shitpost on a mongolian yak milking board.

Let me guess. She heard about how great the lake was for vacation from her ex boyfriend Chad who has a condo there?
>>
>>9136157
They are a pain in the ass to clean, not really worth it.

But when you get them clean you put them in a hot pan until they open them you cut them out of the shell.
>>
>>9136184
How do you clean them? Just a pot of clean water and scrubbing?
>>
Dont eat lake clams, shit for brains
>>
>>9136250
Why?
>>
I didn't even know freshwater clams were a thing. Sounds gross.
>>
>>9136250

Shut up, anon. Let him die.
>>
>>9136224
put them in a bucket of clean water overnight and they will expel a lot of the sand

Chowder. Any other answer is incorrect.
>>
>>9136157
Clean and debeard the clams.

Fry up diced shallots and diced garlic, add white wine, water, and parsley.

Put the clams in the soup and cook until done.

Serve with bread.
>>
100% do not recommend OP since freshwater = Shit water in the U.S unless so unless that lake is the primary source of water its a 100% nogo.
>>
>>9136257
They give you super powers.
>>
>>9136157
I don't think you're supposed to eat freshwater clams.
