Have you ever tried Jeonbok-juk or Korean abalone rice porridge?
The first time I tired Jeonbok-juk was also the first time I ever had abalone, and I was surprised it does not have any fishy or clammy taste.
It was kind of like scallop, but much more intensely savory taste minus any "clamminess."

tuna (canned) juk has always been my favorite just because it was something cheap my mom made for me when i got sick as a child. i would recommend trying grilled abalone anon, it's incredible
