Ask me stuff, /ck/
>>
How many levels are there? Do they count up or down, as in is 1 the highest or lowest level?
>>
Why no Europe?
>>
>>9112339
whats the appeal of in n' out, besides a curiousity "from california"

because it tastes like a burger out of a vending machine
>>
>>9112331
Why do I always feel like complete shit physically and mentally after eating here
>>
>>9112331
why is your bread so shit?

and what is your "cheese"
>>
>>9112339
Level 1 is the lowest, 7 is the highest before managers (4th person-2nd person are what they're called, different than levels, and then store manager) There is also the level 8 which is like a part time manager.
>>9112346
Because the company is extremely finnicky about the quality and wonder make any stores that aren't within a days drive if their meat packing plant in California.
>>9112347
The quality for sure. Some people may not like it, but I can 100% attest to the quality. Everything is 100% fresh, never frozen.
>>9112391
Because you are shit
>>9112421
I can't help you on the bread, get it protein style or something if you don't like it?? The cheese is American. It is serving it's only use by being melted on a burger.
>>
What is the real with these marketing threads on /ck/?

There was a Dairy Queen one earlier.

Are there any secret items that are actually secret?

Not a shill, I saw the DQ thread and felt like making one
>>9112449
12-13K part time
>>9112457
No, they're all on the website. My favorite burger is a Double Double, Animal style, with a whole grilled onion, raw chopped onion, add chopped chilies with fries well done.
>>
>>9112426
>Because the company is extremely finnicky about the quality and wonder make any stores that aren't within a days drive if their meat packing plant in California.
I'm fairly sure most of Europe has it's cattle game on point, and no farm would be further away than a 30 minutes drive from any restaurant there 2bh
>>
Do you prefer working in In-N-Out than other any fast food place?

Are you expected to memorize the "secret menu" or is there some chart in the back to aid with custom orders? What's it like being the new guy and how hard is it to learn the job?
>>
>>9112472
True, It may happen eventually. The company is very resistant to change. They're just now starting to expand east of Cali and opening stores in Texas.
>>
>>9112471
Define parttime...are we talking about 10-15 hours a week?
>>
>>9112478
I love working there, great work environment. It's my first job, so I couldn't tell you but they certainly pay way better. Learning the menu and order taking is a bit difficult to learn but it's fine once you learn it. It can be stressful at times being new because there's alot of pressure but it gets better
>>
>>9112483
I worked like 20 hrs last week
>>
Love in n out, it was the only fast food place i went to until i started making my own hamburgers. Still go once a month though, the fries are always great and the bread is always crisped perfectly
>>
>>9112347
They're made to order burgers. Not like McDonalds where everything is cooked ahead of time and sits in a warming box til they assemble your sandwich.
>>
>>9112331
That's a pretty small meal for one.
>>
>>9112331
Are you sad because you didn't get to work at whataburger?
>>
>>9113448
This. For example If our fries sit out for more than 45 seconds out of the friers we throw them out.
>>
>>9113487
>whataburger

Yeah I'm sure he's sad about not being covered in grease and not having to decipher redneck jargon

I'm a light eater

I'm from Cali M8, pretty much nobody knows about Whataburger

>>
seriously though how do I make an exact replica of your burger sauce I need it
also what is the limit to burger sauce packets you can give out, I want to stock up on that shit
also when you ask for your fries well done are they really doing anything extra or do they just say that? i've gotten them and they were no different than regular fries
>>
>>9114525
One of these days I'll look on the back of the big sleeves the spread comes in, it has the ingredients listed. The "standard" amount of spread packets is usually 2 per burger but there's really no limit. Just order a couple fry only to go's and ask for a shitton of spread if you don't want to get weird looks. Yes. We will leave them in for 3-4 minutes longer if you order them well. if done correctly it should be noticeable. It's possible they simply got your order wrong.
>>
>>9112331
Anything on the secret menu that will make my burger taste?

I can appreciate the very fresh cardboard flavor, but I kinda prefer my burgers to taste like beef.
>>
>>9114552
Mustard fried always helps, or maybe add sliced chilies. Maybe go to Five Fags™
>>
Fuck you OP I want to go to In n Out now, mustard fried patty, chopped chilis and pickles for me pls.
>>
>>9114578
Good choice anon, Would you like onions on your burger?
>>
>>9114582
Only if they're sauteed, I prefer red onions which you guys don't carry
>>
>>9114583
that's a CHB GR MFD CHILIES, would you like any fries or a drink?
>>
>>9114597
A-animal fries, I'm spoiling myself today
>>
>>9114600
I always get my Animal fries well done because we melt the cheese with a steamer and they will last longer if they're crispy
>>
>>9114602
I've never actually had the animal fries well done before.
>>
>>9114570
Mustard fried? I've never had that. What does it do to the taste?
>>
>>9114631
It's cooked in mustard so it tastes more like mustard. It also adds pickles, so if you order your burger animal style or mustard fried, but don't want pickles, let us know.
>>
>>9114602
Oooh I'll have to try that.

My usual is a double-single, whole grilled. The only time I got a wrong order at In n Out, they gave me a triple-triple with a fry that had just a cheese slice on it. Is that a thing?
>>
>>9112331
my regular order is 2 4x2s (EIGHT MEAT DOWN) w/ raw onion, no tomato
guess my height/weight
>>
>>9114660
Yeah cheese fries are a thing. I can't imagine how they could possibly manage to be that far off though. They're supposed to repeat the order.
>>
So what really are the kind of peppers you can get? I asked once and the bitch said peppercini but theres no fucking way those are peppercinis
>>
>>9114664
6' 1", 160. Eight meat down made me Kek. People who get the ones with less cheese are usually runner types in my experience?
>>
>>9114667
It was late night and the crew seemed inexperienced/disorganized. Ah well, one screwup in ten years isn't bad.
>>
>>9114668
Yeah it pisses me off when people call them that. We just call them chilies, nobody really knows the name. This is a different brand but the same type

My socal friend called em "sport peppers"
>>
>>9114570
You know what, I'm gonna try that tomorrow.
I usually don't like mustard very much, and I hate pickles, but I'll be a big guy and try it.

But if it's painful and I don't like it I'm gonna shill me some Mooyah, Whataburger, and Carl's Jr.. For you.
>>
>>9114701
Apparently Google says they're called Cascabella peppers, but I've heard sport peppers too.
>>
>>9114677
close, 6' 175lbs
and yeah good guess I run and lift weights
>>

You have more dedication than me
>>
>>9114718
do you work with any qts
>>
>>9114719
Ya but they're all taken
>>
>>9112426
How many fucking pre-management levels do you need to pump out burgers? Is this an HR pay grade program? some form of slow elevation of responsibility? I've worked in tons of kitchens and that seems fucking needlessly convoluted to crank out fast food.
>>
>>9112492
>It can be stressful at times being new because there's alot of pressure but it gets better

I can tell your not a shill, and that its your first job. Kitchen work has a lot of carry over skills even in fast food that will help you with better jobs. Attention to detail, quality control, customer service, working in uncomfortable heat, and multitasking.

Good on you anon, taking pride in your work and proud of your elevated levels of responsibility (although I just questioned why the fuck that would happen)
Soak up what you can learn, get jaded, and GTFO as soon as you feel capped/bored.
>>
>>9112331
Never had In N Out, only fast food burger places in country are McDonalds and Burger king, are these comparable to In N Out?
>>
>>9114935
not at all. in n out is more comparable to 5 guys
>>
>>9113709
Your fries still manage to be shit though
>>
>>9112426
>it's only use by being melted on a burger.

And just like that you outed yourself as NOT an In and Out associate.

>What are Animal Fries
>>
>>9114784
You train on burger cooking at level 5,
at level 6 you get your raise for it
>>9114792
Thanks for the advice, anon. I only plan on working for another year it so until I can find an internship
>>9115273
Sorry dude, don't know what to tell you. Some say they're to cooked, some say they're undercooked. Just ask them to cook it how you like it when you order.
>>9115279
Lol they're 2 slices of melted cheese in fries with spread and grilled onions on top. I was referring to the melting part.
>>
>>9114784
Giving a sense of achievement to low level workers helps with retention.
>>
>>9115670
The raises that come with it sure don't hurt either
>>
>>9114639
Fug that sounds good

>tfw closest in-n-out is 3 hours away
>tfw no mustard-fried animal-style double-double with chilies, hold the lettuce and tomato
>>
>>9112331
No questions just going to thank you for all the 4x4 animal styles I've downed over the years. I know they're a bitch to stack but there's no substitution for the multiple layers of meat and cheese.
>>
>>9112391
they fry in cottonseed oil
>>
>>9116391
We actually just switched to sunflower oil
>>
>>9112331
Why do they put the veggies under the patty?
>>
>>9112331
Why do the patties have so little meat?
Why are the fries always limp and undercooked?
Why is every other burger joint better than in n out?
>>
>>9117870
Putting the veggies on the bottom means that the cook can easily transfer the Patty to an otherwise completed burger, decreasing the time it takes to get from the grill to the customer.
>>9117870
It's small because it's top quality meat not packed with fillers so it shrinks alot while cooking.
>Muh fries meme
They are the most authentic fries you can possibly get in fast food. They are sacks of whole potatoes straight from the farm ≈ 20 minutes before they get to you. The only thing we do to them is peel em, dice em, and fry em in sunflower oil with a little bit of light salt. They are made to order so there is no reason they should be cold. If they really are, ask for done because ones. As for the crispiness, we get just as many people whining that our fries are too overdone. Just ask for them well done if it's that big of a deal.

We use salt on both. It tastes good.

>>
>>9114570
>>9112471
>whole grilled onion
>Mustard fried
Can I get these drive-through, or is it in-store only deal? And if I theoretically can, will I end up with spit in my burger? Your drive-thru guys always seem on the fucking edge, to be fair I get my drive-thru orders like 3x faster than walk-ins.
>>
>>9119227
You can get them in the drive thru too. Both things are relatively common orders so we won't be upset. There's definitely alot of pressure on the drive thru people. the first window (called back pay) person is responsible for handwashing the constant stream of dishes that come back while also taking money. The second window (drive corner) person is at times simultaneously taking drive thru orders, pouring drinks, handing out food in the drive through, (which requires more effort than you think for the meals in the open boxes) and handing out food for the counter as well. The only times we are directly irritated with you is when customers will wait until you get to the last window to ask for 4 water cups, which take forever if you don't have advance notice from them being asked for at the speaker.

Well I tried it mustard fried with chillies and spread, no pickles and well done fries. It was slightly better that way. Still fairly boring. The biggest surprise was how the well done fries with lemon were almost edible. Almost.

However I did pass by three Whataburgers, two Dairy Queens, a Carl's Jr, probably a few Sonics, and a Mooyah to go there. All better options.
>>
>>9120064
DQ and Sonic fries are garbage, never heard of mooyah. Whataburger is on there same level as in n out I am told, but we don't have those in California. The only burger that's possibly better in my opinion is The Habit. Their fries aren't that good but the burgers and shakes are top tier. Are you a Texas resident anon?
>>
>>9120110
North Texas.
Sonic fries are like mirror world in-n-out fries, just as bad but in opposite ways. Gummy and tastes only like fry oil. You should be getting tots at sonic, but most people realize this after their first experience.
DQ fries are only for nostalgia purposes.
Mooyah is like all the hype for in-n-out and five guys left those places, came to mooyah and became real. It seems Dallas is hogging all the stores, with 20 or so, and only one per city in the rest of the southern central us.
>>
>>9120110
What do you think of Super Duper if you ever had them? It's the first chain place I found that's better than InO, too bad there's only like 10 of them and all limited to gay area.
>>
