So, I'm looking to make Meat Pies for the first time tonight and I was wondering if the denizens of /ck had any advice on how to cook them or any favorite recipes. Looking for something like pic related, the only thing is no potatoes any other vegetable is fine.

9 inch premade pie shells
1lb chuck beef (diced into tiny cubes)
1 large potato
gelatin
beef broth
1 cup mirepoix mix

start reducing the beef broth with the mirepoix mix with seasoning and whatever spices you want. once it's halved and cools a little add enough gelatin so it's a slurry at room temp (you can use beef marrow instead of gelatin if you want). set this aside

boil the potato, mash it

brown the beef, drain and let cool

mix beef, mashed potato, and broth slurry together , season and spice to taste and put in your shell. cover with another shell and bake at 400 till the crust is golden
